Steam Engine Bugs

  • Serious drop in power much harder for me to go up grades.
  • Unreliable controls - sometimes the keyboard keys work, sometimes they don't.
  • You MUST be focused on the Loco for keys to work at all - you used to just need to be focused on the consist, damn handy when doing switching work, put your eyes where the brakeman would be while still driving the engine.

What is the COAL slider for?

  • I don't have SP1 yet, but that's awesome they dropped the power, I've been having problems with allot of steam e-spec's I've created, they seem to be over powered and pull an extra 30 tons on grades.

When climbing grades the regulator must be open fully and valve gear 6 inches (25~26% mark)

    Cheers.

Thanks for the report. I have been able to reproduce the problem where moving the camera down the train will stop the controls working (it requires that one of the vehicles other than the loco has an interior view), although I should note that this happens in 49922 also.

Is there any circumstances where the locomotive cab is still selected (i.e. hitting '1' will take you into the loco cab) where the keys still don't work?

This controls the rate of shovelling for the fireman. It's so you don't have to keep hitting spacebar repeatedly while climbing a hill.

Well my boxcars have an "interior" intially you are on the walk board on top, then if you hit ] or [ you go to one end and then the other as if you are hanging off the ladder. Good for eyeballing coupling operations.

I'm not sure, I'd have to check.

Ok, That's what I thought it was for.
