Please could someone explain how to increase the pressure in the steam chest & boiler when driving a steam loco in CAB mode?
I've been running a session where I've deliberately used underpowered engines on a train, so that banking became necessary. However, I accidentally stopped the train too quickly at Hellifield on the S&C route (ie only half way along the platform) because I underestimated the braking power, but now can't get the locos to move again.
I've uncoupled both from the train but after rolling the banker (an Aspinall 0-6-0ST) back a few yards away from the train, it won't move and there's no boiler or steam chest pressure. Likewise with Skipper's LMS 2P on the front, which I was going to replace with a Duchess anyway at this point on the route.
I then tried to send a Jinty up from Gargrave to try and help out but the steam chest & boiler pressure of that dropped after just a few yards.
Any thoughts?
Cheers
