Station Problem

Hi all,

I recently put "The Dom" Station in a route in TS2010:EE. However, when I stp the train for the carriage doors to open, only the first or last carriage opens. What should I do? If nothing works, are there any other large stations I can download that will load and unload? Please get back to me.

Re The Dom

I looked at it and the problem I saw when clicking on it with the "?" is that there were fewer track numbers available in the setup than there were actually visible, so it seemed to me it was a station where you could not use all of the tracks in driver.

Personally, I use AJS invisible stations for both small and large stations, then scratch build all the rest (platforms, station buildings, platform roofs including barrel vault roofs, etc etc. And I have never had problems with trains stopping properly and doors opening. This does not mean there are not good ready-to-go stations on the DLS, but I have generally been happier building my own.

Thanks Schweitzedude. I do use the AJS for most of my stations. But this station was for a rather large terminal with 4-5 tracks I was creating. Do you know where I could find this?

re invisible stations

I know there are 1,2,4,6, and 8 track invisible stations included with TS2010. Just look for AJS invisible stations in the list of objects in TS2010 and you will find them. They can be used for either terminal or through stations. If you use them for terminal stations, you will obviously need to extend track to some length beyond the attachment point to allow trains to properly fit and unload. If you do this, do not forget to properly terminate the rail with a track end bumper track object.

There are also built-in and downloadable large terminal stations but I have not used them so maybe someone else can make a suggestion.
