Static to Driveable?

What model did you have in mind and how driveable do you want it to be?

You can turn a house into a vehicle very easily, yet you will then still need an engine to pull it for example.

You can turn (anything) a commodity (a steel coil) into a drivable asset using Driveable Superadaptor, by Cyberstorm, by replacing the kuid into alaised config file line

Cyberstorm has 4 adapters:
Drivable Barge,<kuid2:78193:910:1>
Drivable Ship,<kuid2:78193:920:1>
Drivable Superadaptor,<kuid2:78193:950:1>
Drivable Vehicle,<kuid2:78193:900:1>

You can name the "Username" line in the config file to what ever you want: "Drivable Steel Coil Commodity" (as you can also change a commodity to be a drivable asset, trackside asset, or static asset) (or you could put a PRR PLS Signal as a loadable commodity, the variations are endless).

I did forget to add that into the video. I may even do a revised version at a later date, especially now that i'm allowed to use my voice on videos. I wasn't allowed to at the time I made that one.

Ski or snowboard in Trainz

Here is what I did using Cyberstorm's Drivable Superadaptor. Using a skier object and a snowboarder object, I made them into a drivable skier and drivable snowboarder. I did have to play with the config file as I recall to make the snowboarder go sideways. Using mountainous terrain and invisible track, plus ski resort stuff on the DLS, I made a ski resort route in Trainz.

Great video Tutorial Kieran ---- You should blog it here in N3V forums, so it's not lost in threads!

Thanks for making it -- easy to follow!!!

Hi Ishie,

Thank-you for the kind words about the video tutorial. I plan to re-make this in the near future, with a voice-over instead of text. I'm glad you found that version easy to follow.

I'll certainly blog the revised version here. :)

Thanks.

Kieran.
