Starting Trainz 2009

Every time I try to start 2009...it takes forever to load,and then it asks for my serial number etc.and usually needs to repair the database....after I finally get it loaded,when going from Surveyor to Driver,or vice versa..I get a white screen with only the water tube showing..although it does eventually change..I have reinstalled 2009,and tried to install SP 2...which aborted..L
