Speed tree question

There is a speed tree group I would like yo find out the name of but forsome reasonI cannot just use the object pickup tool to find out its name. It just doesn't select anything. Its the speed tree group that is out on the edge on the CSX route that came with the game.

Anybody know what this assets name is?

I can't identify it either but I can rotate it. I had a similar problem in my own route with a different tree group. You might be able to id it using CDP.

I can ID it in ccp but I cant use it on own route until I can find it on the list. Treegroup 1 through 7 is missing from the list. I check the filters and each layer still cannot grab it.

There's problems with Speedtrees mentioned in a few topics, one involves how the specific point that you are looking for will not be where you expect it with some Speedtrees.

I was going to ask the same thing about the groups. I would like to know what they are so I can replace some of them with other trees. The "blue" weird trees are not what I am looking for on my route.

Some of the SpeedTree Groups are hidden in Surveyor. You can access them however if you go into CMP and put the ones that are missing into the pick tool. Go back into Surveyor and they are now available using the pick tool in the asset find drop down.

These were omitted from Surveyor because Auran said they use too many resources for general use. They are only there to replace several of the older groups in previous versions.

That was it thank you. Speed trees do have to be used judiciously. Otherwise they will slow things down.
