(Excuse my bad english, it's not my main language) Hello, everybody. I'm planning to build a Gaming PC. Here are the specs:
GTX 1060 3GB
Ryzen 3 2200G
8GB 2666Ghz

How much is the average FPS gonna be? that's my main question.

With any particular rig combo, 'Average FPS' will fluctuate widely among different games and productivity applications.
That average is also contingent upon the output device resolution and frequency: - i.e. your monitor's aspect ratio, default response rate, pixels resolution, sync-rate, etc.
In general, you'll get higher framerates at lower resolutions rather than at higher ones. (e.g. 'Full HD' 1920 by 1080 would be way better for a GTX 1060 3Gb that might struggle to drive a UHD monitor @ 3830 by 2160 - or higher 4K, 4096 by 2160 resolutions).
In Trainz, the framerates you'll get with your proposed combo will depend largely upon the degree of complexity and detail level you are viewing in the route or session you're running.
T:ANE will run reasonably well at moderate visual quality settings with that amount of RAM, a 3Gb GTX 1060 and a Ryzen 2200G. (So too will TRS19! - If it runs well on T:ANE, it will likely run as well - if not better - on TRS19, since TRS19 is a better-optimised, more highly-evolved version of T:ANE).
Just don't expect to be able to run 60FPS average in any or all Trainz scenarios. Be happy if you can manage to use the HALF Sync-Rate to maintain a steady 30 FPS in most scenarios.
Busy, highly-detailed scenes will still bring that rig to a crawl, but to avoid that, you'll need a RTX 2060, or GTX 1070Ti or better, coupled with a high-GHz Ryzen 7 or Intel i7 - a much more expensive proposition indeed.

Using 1/2 Sync versus Full Sync with 1050 Gti NVDIIA Card

:wave: PC Ace do you find folks using Full Sync very much, I have a ASUS ROG with 1050 GTI 4 Gigs of VRAM set at 1/2 Sync too.........

Just curious for your thoughts, as I am new to this NVIDIA Card, but used NVIDIA for about 5 years, back in the day, but not since 2011........

Then I went to HP Laptops with integrated GPU (huge costly mistake for me with Games and TRAINZ Etc)

I would respectfully suggest a 6gb GTX1060 and 16gb ram. The 6gb on the graphics card will cause less jerkiness with the greater memory and windows will allocate another shared 5gb from RAM, which is why I have 16gb. If you ever decide to make a video of trainz, the extra memory is crucial. CPU is ok as thats not as important in TRS19 or TANE.

I saw several great gaming Desktop PC with 16 GB RAM and a 1060 to 1070 video card, for @ $850 at BestBuy, and one open box display model for $1300 ... and another in a private PC repair shop for $450 (needs a video card installed)

blueodessey - Best to run the sync-rate that works best for you. HALF seems quite appropriate for a GTX 1050 with 4Gb GDDR5.
For many people with faster cards, like the 1060, 1070 and 1080, for example, HALF is still perfectly acceptable if people prefer to get a rock-steady ~30 FPS over a widely fluctuating framerate between 20 FPS and 150 FPS.
Some people are more sensitive to framerate fluctuations than others.
The default V-sync rate is set to Half in both T:ANE and TRS19 - and I'll bet some people have never bothered to change or experiment with the alternatives. ​

My Asus ROG Strix GTX 1070 8Gb OC is typically set to None, as is my EVGA GTX 1080Ti when I am route-building or driving my own sessions.
Occasionally, especially when running other people's highly-detailed, busy scenarios involving high-poly assets at maxed visual quality and performance settings, I still notice framerate anomalies, so setting it back to HALF seems to be the prudent thing to do, since I cannot stand jittering or stutter.
In these situations, I'm perfectly content with a steady 30 FPS which is HALF of the default refresh-rate of my 60Hz monitors.​

I didn't realize 1/2 sync was the default so I will do both and see which one works the best.......I plan on upgrading couple of things:

16 Ram to 32 Ram

and

5400 Seagate 1-Tera to Samsung or Crucial SSD..........That will make a quite difference, and then my ROG should be as balanced as it can be.....

5400 RPM Hard Disk Drive to a shiny new SSD will do wonders in terms of perceptible responsiveness/ performance.

However, as always, for the best-bucks-for-return performance upgrades in either TRS19 or T:ANE, going to a faster Graphics Card is the real answer.

I'ts more pricey but i'd go with a 8gb card if it can be installed on your ROG as extra RAM wont do much to improve things. the vram is what seems to really get things moving. likewise for the OP, go for the 6gb 1060 at least. you wont regret it.

Agreed with all, that is what I noticed on old HP Envy, when I upgraded a 4200 RPM to SSD it was like night and day......

As for the Video Card, it will have to wait........If there was a way to sell this one and buy the 1070 0r higher that would work, but since this Computer is only 2 weeks old, I think it is prudent to run with this existing card for now, and wait for a good sale, maybe by the end of this year........??

Yup - there's no urgent requirement to make any hasty decisions - just cold-blooded determination to make eventual, real-and-measurable performance gains through careful upgrade planning and budgeting.
There will be some excellent bargains available by the end of this year since there are so many new highly-anticipated product lines due out by US Summer-time 2019.
DRAM and SSD prices are falling. Storage is cheap. Most GPUs are getting new, faster HBM2 or GDRR6 memory, and PCIe 4.0 should be broadly available by year end.

Only needed one 16 Chip for my RAM today due to MOBO setup slots.......

Got very Lucky on the memory today, and this is the 1st in 4 laptops in the years that I have to say kudos to the manufacturer, I went to Fry's today, popped open my Inspection port to discuss options with Tech.

Out the gate there is an open memory slot, normally it is full of 2nd memory Ram, in this case.....because mine is 32 max form factor, instead of putting (2) specs of 8 Ram Sticks, they just put one 16 stick, and all I had to due was get another 16, which I got some Patriot 2400 Hyper Ram, and installed myself...So I didn't loose the RAM chip like on the other 3 laptops.....Hurray for me!!!!!!....

And the first thing I noticed, because I have Carbonite backing up, Computer is running faster with the 32GIGS and Carbonite working in tandem with other Programs........Actually it seems to me, like Carbonite is working faster backing up the files now than before........That's a bonus I think.....

I also found out, I only have support for one M2 SSD unless, I can find another with that comes in and 2.5 Cage, too handle the smaller form factor size of the M2 over regular SSD's and I not sure if that exists for this computer, however, I was thinking things over and I can upgrade my M2 later to a 2 Terabyte M2,,,,,,some folks on the WEB have already done it, mostly Contractors and Gamer's......So there's that and I could put my old Samsung SSD EVO 960, 1 Tera in the secondary slot.......

Also see my Secondary Write speed is 1/10th of the speed of SSD Drive C:,,,,I knew SSD's were faster but didn't see that till I did a Benchmark on this ROG,,,,,,,,That explains why it takes Trainz so long to do Database Rebuild with my Installation on Secondary instead of Drive C SSD......No choice since it was too small for 500 Gigs of Trainz and Assets.......

A great day, and it only took about 1 1/2 hrs to search, go get it, install it and now I can play with my Trainz for a while.....whooooo hoooooooo......:wave:

You should be fine with those specs as I am running TRS2019 just fine with an older (but still fast) FX-8350 Black Edition 4GHz and a GTX960 on half sync.
