Someone recently suggested putting in a 'spare driver' if a consist has no driver.
Could someone please explain how to do this.

I have consists repeatedly coming out of a Portal with drivers although as far as I can ascertain everything has been in put correctly for the train, coaches, driver and route.

Tony,

The following is for the PC version, hope it helps with the Mac.

In Surveyor go to "Edit Session" and then "Driver Setup" add as many drivers as you want (no need to allocate them to locos) and save. When running the session pick an unallocated driver, right click and select the "Move To Train" command, using the + that appears click on the loco you want the driver to take over.

You should not really be getting a problem with driverless trains coming out of portals, so something is wrong somewhere in the setup (or it's a bug in the Mac version). Are you using the "Quick Portal" rule by Pguy and if so which version ?

"I have consists repeatedly coming out of a Portal with drivers", they're supposed to come out with drivers, possibly you meant "without"? If that's the case check the portal in surveyor, make sure the driver is actually there. One problem in TS12 that was never resolved, if I create a session in TS2010 and it's downloaded into TS12, it will show no errors and nothing missing, but if the TS2010 driver is not installed in TS12 that will happen - because session rules and driver characters are NOT added as dependencies in the KUID table.

You could also add quick drive to the session, if you need an extra driver you can add one using that.
