SP 4449 And Freedom Train

Hi Fellow Trainzers,

I came across a video a couple days ago about SP #4449 and the American Freedom Train in Train which you can see here:

In the comments below, It states that it can be found in the download station, But I havent been able to find it at all. Can somebody tell me if it is still available or not and if so. What kind of search do I need to do in order for me to download it with the passenger cars for both trains as well.

Thanks Aaron - I tried every kind of term such as Southern Pacific, SP 4449, and a couple other terms. Now, I just need to find the freedom train and passengers cars for both trains.

EDIT - Just installed the SP #4449 and its not showing up in my railyard, So I dont any point in trying to install the other stuff as it most likely wont show up in the railyard as well.

I saw this loco when it was in West Palm Beach, Florida. My kids (who had never seen a steam loco before) went berserk (ok me too, lol). I have photos of her (and her BGF) standing in front of one of the drivers and they (at age 10 or so) don't even close close to being as tall as the drivers.

The interesting thing was it could not traverse the FEC (Florida east Coast) tracks as they had a strike that had never been resolved (it has since) so it had to come down via the Seaboard Coast Line tracks as the crew would not cross the (no longer existant) picket line.

Great loco.

I have wanted to see the 4449 for a really long time now, and the one time it was close to us (only about a half hour to an hour away) we were out west with my great aunt and uncle.

Go into Content Manager via the Launcher screen.

Check to see if any of the followwing appear beside the loco's name:
1. Yellow puzzle piece: Indicates missing dependencies
2. Red puzzle piece: Indicates faulty dependencies
3. Red exclamation mark: Indicates that the asset (in this case, train) is faulty itself
4. Yellow exclamation mark: Indicates that train has warnings, which can be ignored.

It shows the "Yellow puzzle piece" which I fixed, But when I run in the sim. There is some kind of big black box in the sim itself....Not worth the trouble as I am not a big steam fan anyways.

Right-click on it, and click Download at the top of the menu that opens up. That will download the missing dependencies from the DLS.

@ Eaglefan: The black box is the shadow. I disabled shadows in the Options option in the menu.

I doubt it will work in TS12. It would likely work in ts2010 in compatbility mode. It should be fine in TRS2006.

I've fixed almost everything I have that's faulty and likely to be used in TS2010 with the Multiplayer patch, which removes Compatibility mode. One of these items is the GS-4, tender and dependencies. Other MrTrain items have been fixed in non-compatibility-mode TS2010.

G'day Eaglefan, I just did a search for <KUID:59906:4449>USA SP Class GS-4 Steam Engine in TS10 and it is built in there, before I installed TS12 I made a clean install of TS10 then installed TS12 onto it so you then have everything in TS10 also in TS12.

4449 for TS12 almost fixed still shows faulty

Thanks! It still shows faulty though.:( the only errors are these

Error: Progressive meshes are no longer supported by Trainz. Though these meshes may work in Trainz, it is recommended that you switch to a LOD mesh.

This tutorial will fix it by telling the game to not load a shadow, only the body.

i watched the vid and it still shows faulty and these are the errors:

If you look at the config file all those multiple words are wrapped with individual " " marks.

Possibly ... You have to get them all wrapped in one container without all the " " marks, and make them to be with only one " " around them all in one sentence.
 
If the loco that you have is usa sp class gs 4 steam engine,<kuid:59906:4449>

All you need to do is add a mesh table. Copy this and paste into the loco's config.txt file, then save and commit.

Got rid of a lot of errors but these still show:

Engine works!

I would like the tender though:o these are the tender errors:
