Sound Card issue?

Hey guys, really annoying problem here...

Whenever I open a map in Trainz, an extremely annoying sound plays, but no, it's not just one sound. It's a mixture of beeps, screeches, chirps, hums, buzzes and squeals that occur when I move around the map. It also is jerking around (like lag) for both video (which shouldn't be a problem) and sound (lags with the video). I can't make it stop and muting it doesn't help, which tells me it's probably not Trainz itself, but my sound card. It only happens w/ Trainz though, which is also weird. PLEASE HELP! I can't play Trainz in peace until I get this solved...

Sound card problem

Hi - This is almost certainly your sound card drivers. Yous say there are odd things with the video also? It does not matter overmuch if it is onboard sound or a plug in card. You will have to find out what make it is and go the website and download and install newer drivers.

If you have done that recently then it does not mean that the newest set of drivers is better than the last and there are plenty of people on trainz that have gone backwards to older drivers as the newer ones cause conflicts.

If you want to, come back with more info on your equipment if you are unable to fix the problem.
