Some well cars dont load with the PL automatic load section in the track.

So I have a lot of well cars that work and a lot more that don't want to load. Obviously from different content makers. Is there a list or a way to tell what works or do I need a different set of containers or a different loading track.......so much nice content but trial and error is boring and I won't live that long!! ;)

the loads on the cars and the track industry have to match, different cars have different loads some made by the creator, you can look in the config file of the well car to see the kiuds that it uses, and match up to the industry

It’s been so long since I’ve played with Trainz I’ve forgotten all the ins and outs. Next up will be finding the config file. Probably through the Content Manager?
Thanks for the reply

Yes, you need to open the config.txt for editing in Content Manager.

Right-click on the asset you to view.
Choose Open...
Click on Edit Config file text

Notepad or some other text-editor will open up showing the config.txt file most of the time.

If it does not:
In Content Manager,
Right-click on the asset again
Choose Open...
Click on Show in Explorer.

The config.txt file will be highlighted You can double-click on that to open the file in Notepad.

To submit your asset,
Close Notepad and close File Explorer, if you had to open that.
In Content Manager, highlight the asset.
Right-click and choose Submit or press CTRL+SHIFT+E.

Thanks for the advice.

If I can load each car manually then I must have the assets it uses already so maybe it’s the loading track asset that I need. I would think that should be universal but what do I know!!

yeah these that I have can be loaded manually but wont load over the PL load track.......maybe i'll try the Auran default loader...duh

All loads can be changed just by removing them. You don't have to go through the config.txt file to do it. You run the risk of breaking something (ask me how I know lol).

Just select the well car, open it's properties and you'll see the list of what it currently accepts. Anything you don't want to haul can be removed or added. Any other compatible well cars connected can be duplicates with the magic icons that look like mini trains.

I do this for every single type of rolling stock I use. You just have to be mindful of the max loads. Some are physically too tall or long and will appear outside of the car.

And just match those products to your industry tracks like the JR multi II.

Most well cars are used for single or double stacked steel containers that come from intermodal yards. I've never seen them used for anything other than that.
