Some questions

I have played trainz for some time but i'm new on this forum. Ok, here's few questions. First one may be stupid but still... I know that most built-in content is made by community members. But i've been wondering how they deal with the game developer to get their creations to the game and how the developer gives them the what they deserve. I mean they don't work auran/n3v but they deserve money for making loads of content to the game.
And now the problems with downloadable content. Why so big amount of content i download has little errors or missing depedencies that can't be found anywhere. For example everything i have downloaded from ibertrainz is faulty.
Also, is there any working japanese DMUs? Download station is full of them, but for some reason none of them works.

I'm not sure about here, but at my old site you uploaded stuff for the good of all the community members. That way guys like me who cannot make, paint, or do much of anything, get to use their great work. That leaves guys like me looking for some way to do something, anything to help out in some way. I think all they get is "Thanks for your beautiful work", etc. Maybe a little glory. To be able to do good work and show it to the community and have people really enjoy it, must be a great feeling. To me they are like some kind of rock stars!

Welcome to the forums! If something has an error and it doesn't show up, that means the texture has an error. I'm not sure if its because the texture has an error, but that seems like a good explanation. I have a JR GE C30-7 that has errors and still shows in game. Best of luck to you!

If you upload anything to the DLS you are granting them a free license to use it in any future version of Trainz as built in content, they don't even owe you a free copy of the game. Some people have a problem with that policy and refuse to upload anything to the DLS, most consider it a fair trade for N3V continuing to maintain the DLS.

Trainz is a hobby, a pass time. Making content should only be a "job" for the most talented, the rest of us are content to contribute to the community.
