so I can't log in on installer, yet have no issue being on here

There have been connection issues with DLC servers the last few hours. I have been experiencing them. Here is the server logs;

yeah, I am and that is dumb, same name and password so really...I do not get the issue....

There may be no issue with your name and password. The graph above shows that where it is trying to log you in and download from may be broken at this time, and in the next few hours may be fixed, and your problem will be resolved. Please try again later when the server is fixed. That is what i am trying to tell you.

This forum and the Down Load Center (DLC) are two different servers and do not correlate with each other.

it claims my details are wrong and "need a valid account"....only issue is that I am using the same password and name in both places, yet can't log into the game proper..
you suggest this is a server problem, I would say...actually that that is nothing to do with servers at all but a game problem and after months and months of playing this is the first time I have actually had this issue but it is still wrong...and messed up.

Unless you have a DRM free or 'Offline' version of Trainz, it needs to 'Phone Home' to the servers whenever you do anything. If the servers are failing, it won't 'Phone Home' and may cause an error. You state that you have not have problem in the past, and I am saying that the servers have not been doing this in the past, so I am just putting two and two together, and telling you I am also having problems that I have not had in the past, which I am seeing that it is NV3 server errors on their DLC.

as much as I understand what you are saying and I am sorry you are having issues also...
but the fact is my time and money are being wasted if basic functionally is not the main thing they care about, as issues like this should be the thing that is most important...without being able to play, people will think, hmm why bother, and leave..and ask for refunds.

A year in and yeah, I love the games and suggest it to others I meet/know but if the game itself does not work...I, myself and done with it, as sad as that is, I would rather have a model set...at-least that is something I can pay to get fixed if it is broken...

Thanks for the advice and info...I am just sad, as I love this series, truly and if there are issues like this, well I can not support it any-more.

The DLC is hosted by Amazon. It uses Amazons servers. So I am assuming that you will also be boycotting Amazon as well?

I've been having issues for more than 24 hours, Weekend here so nothing will happen till 8.00 am tomorrow, so nothing for at least 18 1/2 hours,,, this DRM stuff stinks......:eek::eek:

Error message is from server
Either:
  • If you have just only registered your serial number, your access may not have been activated, please try again in 10 minutes.
  • The maximum number of connections to our download server has been reached.

Has anyone thought to put in a help desk ticket?
