Wow its been a long time since I've last seen this thread in my notifications. I was starting to get worried about you.
Hope everything are better than what they where @blueodessey .
Yeah, RAM prices are crazy as most of the companies are going towards AI and leaving the consumer market behind. Crucial was the recent one to leave the consumer.
Enjoy your cruise vacation with your family and hopefully no more computer problems.

Cheers

What a joy to read you, Blue, my friend! I was honestly worried about you. :D
A big hug from my side of the pond. Cheers
Thank you my friend, I never thought I would have to go on Blood Pressure meds, but it made a world of difference, and I have to be honest with all of you, I shouldn't have waited as long as I did. Couple of times I felt bad headaches and almost passing out. All the classic signs, I tried to get my pressure down, but just could get it where it needed to be.

Now I am OK, and pressure is where it needs to be. Getting older has it's issues.

Happy New Year and a Hug back at you my friend.

Well do, and keep your eye on AI it has a long way to go and still an infant, no where near out of the Crib.

Blood Pressure issues , see my message 1863, and the Mr's had some serious health issues too! but we were able to resolve with Dental Surgery and Lady Surgery. it was very difficult, but the Lord definitely helped. I said a lot of prayers. Now she is OK.

Yeah, AI already has made changes to how everyone does things. I don't want to know what it'll be like when its out of its crib. All I can say is, a lot of jobs are going to be lost thanks to AI.

Blood pressure, not a fun thing. Too high and you have doctors trying to push blood pressure pills and too low, that's another story.
Stay safe to both yourself and your wife.

Cheers

I well versed in how what Doctors do and don't do, There is special Creed I ascribe too, especially in difficult health situations. Patient heal thyself when and where possible, and I also don't take pills for every little pain or bump.

Thank you my friend.

Blue, hypertension is a silent enemy, you have to be very careful with it. I’ve been taking pills to control my blood pressure for a long time, and a couple of months ago the doctor increased my dose. Have a good trip, my friend. :)

Hi Folks, Just getting over the worst Bronchitis I think I have ever had, started on Feb 2nd, finally well, as 2 days ago. No joke, almost ended in Pneumonia had I not gone for Treatment and meds! Oh and I forgot, Docs said it was Viral and going around a lot in area. YUCK ! Saw this route on one of the threads, decided I would splurge a few bucks and get it for my TRS22

Eureka Valley

After the rails had conquered Badgers Pass, carved their way through the canyons of Elk, and climbed the heights of the Eastern Range, the engineers and workers stood in awe before a vast panorama:
A wide, dry highland basin, framed by towering mountains – Eureka Valley.

Here, where silence reigns and only the desert wind whispers across the plains, the land itself seemed to invite the railway. The ground was gentle, almost kind, and so within a single year the line surged northward from Sequoia Falls all the way to the remote settlement of Piper Fields.

But ambition reached further. Rich deposits beckoned from the Eureka Mountains to the east, and soon a branch line wound its way from Sequoia Falls to the mysterious Eureka Basin – a closed valley, sometimes parched, sometimes drowned by the rivers Elk and Sequoia. At its edge, Eureka Lake station was built, a portal to new endeavors.

The Call of the Stars
In the 1950s, at the height of the space race, the government made a bold decision:
A monumental radio telescope would rise in Eureka Valley – the Eureka Telescope Array (E.T.A.). Here, science and ambition fused with the dream of reaching beyond the skies.

To sustain this vision, the telescope needed a lifeline. A new junction was laid from Eureka Lake to the Piper Fields main line, and at the crossroads, the Eureka Valley Transfer Station was born. From here, a spur climbed into the hills, delivering men, machines, and hope to the sprawling antennas of the Array.

Your Journey
Now, it falls to you to bring this valley to life:
  • Drive mighty transcontinental trains across the windswept semi-desert.
  • Supply remote depots with vital fuel.
  • Haul machinery and spare parts to the very heart of the E.T.A., each run a step toward unlocking the secrets of the cosmos.
  • Take on maintenance trains along the Array’s own tracks, where steel rails meet the frontiers of discovery.
And yet – do not forget to pause. For few places on Earth capture such vast horizons, where the silence of the desert stands side by side with humanity’s quest for the stars.
