Snow High Valley Distr Ctr (High Resolution 950x532) Approx

I see you're taking the swan dive into some more eastern railroads. May I recommend the locomotives in the links below? Higher quality than the very old DLS skins above.

Hopefully that can get you by for now. I am working on finalizing a dedicated pack of content for this layout's owning railroad, the New Castle Northern RR, but until I can get that finished up hopefully those will do.

Your shots are looking very good as always Blue! Keep up the great work.

Absolutely Southern 1581, I was skating on Ice here because I didn't know what was best to use, I grabbed what I could for now, figured you had this on target for Future.

Thanks for the help,,,,I'll grab and update asap........

Evening all,,you this is the time of the year a lot of things are going on, I started putting up Xmas Lts and a Fusee blew, and I couldn't find a spare, so off to the Hardware place and Voila.

So below the Rain and Sleet have started as we got another round of Fresh Power, better than what we had before (Thanks Southern 1581 for pointers) and now our Yard is chuck full of Freight, ready for distro......

Rain has cleared a bit, but boy do we have some sorting and shunting to do and fast! Good think is, I have plenty of Crews and Power to spare with the Fresh Inventory from CSX and NS livery's.

As you can see here, our yard is awash with goods to move.......

Here we have some unusual equipment coming thru, these are heavy wrecker/Construction Cranes we use for lifting heavy objects.

Trying to get our first Train out so we can move out the rest. I've got good Crews and lot's of faith will get this worked out as the day progresses here.

Looks like the Rain has come back so guess will have our Rain Gear in full effect and double our Safety View so we don't have any Employee Injuries or derailments, all easy to do when you have this conditions present.

Thanks for all the help with this project, your comments are always welcome and appreciated.

Night All.

Nice shots Blue! Looks great! Jointedrail has some good assets from those railroads as well you should check out.

Morning Southern 1581, thanks and copy on the Good Assets, I purchased a few things from JR last weekend and intend to Purchase some more.

So to you and my other guests, :o I have a bad habit which I need to change, when I look for inventory Cars and Locos, I grab a bunch of stuff and don't pay close enough attention to the Detail of the objects, sharpness etc, like a kid in a candy store, so what I'm doing now is getting rid as I can all the items that are not clean looking as they should be.....;)Yesterday for example, after downloading all the shortcut free items you suggested ( I like them a lot too!) I deleted all my CSX and NS Locomotives I had, lots of them where versions 1-3 more or less, and of Course T:ANE is a stickler for anything below 3.5, it gives you a faulty Asset error on Version as well as all the other cornucopia of other things it finds wrong.

Like others have said, up versioning Trainz OS Sims has it's draw backs sometimes, you just have to decide if it's worth it, in this Case 32 vs 64 performance for this Tech Head, I can see the difference and I'll get over the rest of the small issues.

So for me, with 404K of Assets, it's going to take a good while to clean house, unfortunately the one fly in the ointment is Auran Built ins, and I guess for those items, I should be able to disable them, hey that almost rhymes? :hehe: I'm a Poet and might not know it,,,,,,,Not in my dreams........LOL

But with your new ones you suggested, I cleaned that part up and got rid of 12 or so relics.

Thanks for Dropping by Sir.

Evening all,

Well Kelly Yard in Newcastle has been very busy today, 3 Trains are stacked and ready for departure now,

Will start out with CSX #2665 and he has a clear to go, his Traction Motors are powering up.

As we look in the Yard, I have a bunch of True Junk Trains, and lots of Raw and Recycled items for local Industry.

The last 3 Cars in this Junk Consist will be dropped off at the Coal Mine for Requisition Orders. The Last car has some kind of Mining Equipment Parts they need to maintenance some of there older Mine stuff.

CSX 2791 is in the Que for release behind #CSX 2665, and he wait for us to unload our Cars and follow in Restriction as we transverse our Route.

OK here we go, we are off and pushing ahead on a nice Clear Signal. Yahoo!

And here we come around the corner, and the Food smells so good at Dave's Cafe, man I wished we had time to Order out, it's ok, we brought our Snacks with us and a hot Thermos of Coffee......It will be cold tonight, I hear another Snow Storm is on the way in a couple of days, best get our Loads delivered to the paying customers or face the Music and potential loss of business for not having Supplies as promised.

Don't promise what you can't deliver is what I say, Customer is King and your Company Credibility is Key.

That's about it, other than I got working Basic Industry Track for the Power Company Model.

Night my Friends and thanks for visiting..........Will pick up #2665's Trip Tomorrow and see how he's a doing?

As long as you have that coffee, all's right with the world. I never leave the shed without a big old thermos of fine hot joe. Oh, Devil Dogs too. (Tasty)
Have a safe ride on the rails and take extra care when the first flake kisses the glass. (Can not count the times me and ol Sloan(conductor) almost needed new skivvies on those slushy runs.)

Looking for small switchers for your Route?

Or, here in Alabama, it's getting to that time of actually being halfway cool and it starts raining again. Nice shots!

Copy that,,we had 5-6 Snow in mountains, so will see if we get more, either way, more Rain is good for So Cal.

Question I would like to get hold of some Switchers for your route? I like the SW style, you know of any, CSX or NS.....for some of the Tighter Curves in Layout????

;) Also got the right Track to work for Power Plant too last night after a few tries......Got a ton of House related stuff to do today, one is getting my XMAS lights outside,it looks like the weather might change?

Thanks for your help on everything.

Making Diesel and Coal Deliveries today

Morning all,

Just dropped in for a bit, here is our first train out the gate and he is lining up to Mine Co, and will drop off Diesel and Wood, other supplies they have been waiting for. They are happy to see us........

Over at the Power Plant, I finally got the right right Track in to unload Coal, and I think I will try to Load Coke from this Plant too? Will see? I need to use smaller Loco, like a Switcher here, as this Curve is pretty tight here. I have a Ques out to Southern 1581 for suggestions what I might use?

Getting the loads into unload area here......All is good so far........

Coal Cars went thru and unloaded like a Gem. Oh O I forgot, the Plant is moved over for minute so I can see how this Track Module (basic industry works out) then I moved the Plant back in and the unload area is cover by Shed Roof.

One thing, here? We are close to a Xing, so Engineer has to be sure those Gates are down, before and if he needs to back into the intersection unloading Loads...
Hmmmm?...I might need to think about having this train come in the other way around with Power pointing to the Intersection rather than backing into it?

:'( Well it appears our Dwarf Signal doesn't want to play nice with Inter locker Signal to left of us, I can't get the Red to Clear with Switch points aligned......GRRRRRRRR, so will change it out to another G Style or something that'll work, we have to call Dispatcher to get past this red with stop and proceed clearance at 10MPH.......Don't need a "PSAD" issue to plague us today!

And in next shot we should be unloading Corn Syrup at the new trackage on our Right, I have the Tanker Loads in the Yard ready to deliver once I get the Yard cleared of our Manifest Runs.......

:wave:Thanks for dropping in and have a great day.

I have some NCNO switchers that are almost done. I'll send them to you once I have it finalized.

Thank you Sir,

 We'll take it slow on the curves then, didn't want to derail our nice Power we got this week........Thanks for Quick Reply......

No problem mate. I'm gonna be pretty busy, I have a math exam today followed by chemistry lab (kill me), tomorrow I need to head out fairly early so I can get some more supplies for my girlfriend so she can finish up some crafts, then I run the Christmas train from 3:30 until late. Saturday I'll be with the girlfriend again in the morning helping her at a craft fair/sale type thing, then Christmas train again, so earliest I can get anything meaningful done on them will probably be Sunday afternoon, so I should be able to get the test pack out for testing around Monday-ish.

So far my to-do list for the route is as follows:

-Fix the Power Plant curvature. The curves need to be big enough to preferably take an SD40.
-Get the content pack finished and put that out.
-Fix the signalling on the route as needed.
-Make all of the industries interactive.
-Add detail to the Coldwater and Heather areas. I still feel they are lacking in detail.
-Add lights to some of the industries so they can realistically operate at night.

That's the to do list for now. Also Blue you may want to update your version of the NCNO to the final release, I can tell you're still running on the final beta and while that is still a functional route, some things have been made better in the release. In the final release those crossing gates would be down, however they are up there because I didn't realize the crossings on that side were broken before I sent out that beta version.

Doesn't look like you have enough going on over there, shoot, if you blink, you might miss Xmas!

Kidding of course,

Hey, Good Luck with those Exams, and this project can wait a bit for you to catch up, The Layout is out there to play with, WIP.

I'm sure having fun with it.........I think it is a Marvel of Engineering on your part, so much to play with in 2 Baseboard Squares, Phenomenal for sure!

My plate is full too, with tons of Honey Do's around here, I'm refinishing our Shower and Bathroom items, Lights etc. While cleaning out Garage and bunch of other stuff to get rid off.......

Your To Do list:Looks good, and I would say, Texture Etc, evolves as like a Painter, you take a minute as your impression develops, things stand out, and/or new ideas come to mind you'll create your OBJECT DE ART Masterpiece for all to see.

Curiosity about something and I keep forgetting to ask you,

I noticed on the outside edges to your Baseboard (like by the Large Rail Yards, you have them Terrain and Wallboards set in a bit from Baseboard Edges, it's were your Sky Boards are Etc, looks like 2 Grid Rows wide of unused space, was there a particular reason?

That would give you some breathing room for changes?

Agree on Night Lights that would look awesome.

On the interactive, I wanted to see how the Power Company worked out, so temporarily I dropped Industry Load/Unload to see the operation. The Mining Coal Plant works fantastic as it comes with interactive Track already, in fact I wish all industries came with Interactive Tracks attached, it makes things much easier as everything is lined up for you, no centering of Tracks needed. Just Pie in the Sky wishful thinking of course.

I deleted the Layout and will download your latest tonight.

Good day Blue,

I'm still keeping an eye on this thread of yours. You sure have been keeping busy with it! Some pretty nice stuff you're showing. I really liked the night shots you've posted. Those shots with the moon were great. Back on page 17 you had some shots of mountains seen through the rain. Beautiful! Take the train and track out of the scene and I see Sam and Frodo walking to Mordor. Keep up the fine work.

Cheers, Jack

Hello Jack,

Yes it has been a busy month, that's for sure!

Glad to have you visiting, I try to take best pictures I can, and sometimes it just works. Thank you for the Kind comments sir and I'll keep working on getting some good pictures to share with you all.

Little bit of Steam on the Move tonight!

It's a cold Rainy Morning and we are on the move from the Yard, I hear new Signals have been installed.
Our Friend the Blue Planet is parked for now, scheduled to leave mid day.

The Vegetation Train is parked for now, there will be no spraying in this weather.

Wow even the Power Plant got some new lighting, you know how it is, construction is never finished. I see they have a nice fence to deter Animals and Dumb Humans from catching a fatal shock.

We had a problem with the Xing Lights and now Signal Maintainer has got them working OK!

With all the Steam rising, the City Lights still shine brightly as we pass thru early in the morning.

Time for me to get my Xmas lights and before I know it, time to pick out little Tree for us.

Thanks for dropping by folks, I'm sure everyone is busy with Xmas and Travels, so have a good day and if your traveling, Safe Travels abound and God speed.
