Friday has arrived and we r on the move with Southern 1581's new route !
Wow it's Friday and a great Thanksgiving was had by all, didn't get home till Midnight, what a Party animal I was......My hope is all of you had a wonderful day as well......God Bless all of you and your Families.
Ok, We are heading out Shopping with the rest,(to brave the traffic and Crowds) so I stopped in to add a few pictures before I'm out on the Lamb shopping for Xmas, oh my word, did I say Xmas, I surely did, and I plan on buying one of the Canadian Rocky Routes before they get away for T:ANE.....
Kudos to Southern 1581 for getting his route out and released to you all, it is an amazing space saving in design, lots of care and effort has been put into it by Southern 1581. My hope, our hope is you enjoy this route to it's fullest, I know I am, I already have some ideas from his designs to try out on my routes! If you enjoy the Route he has created please by all means, get the word out and tell other Trainzr's.

Below is one of the Assets I needed to download for the Route, I would like you to noticed how well sculptured the ground is around this Plant.......The attention to detail, it's not to high and relative to the buildings in the background, remember too, this Route is still a WIP detail, ongoing as Southern 1581 continues to refine and add other details.

We are traveling thru a fantastic Tree/ forested lined area as we head to the next city and Rail Yards simply breath taking view here! Granted some of the Curves are a little tight due to design, but the tracks Radii are perfect even for this Loco.
Look at the awesome fall colors displayed here.
We are headed to a Bridge ahead and will hold till we get clearance from loco Dispatch, the yards are busy ahead of us a few miles, and head Dispatcher is making a clearance for us once he clears up congestion, lots of Freight on the move for Xmas Holidays.
We have pulled up as far as we can go for now, might be here for an hour or two..........What a backdrop to see.........

Been fixing stuff around the house today,
And tonight, well you know I had to say I did some Black Friday Shopping, so I went to the Trainz Store, and looky here, what I found just waiting for me to buy it on special today!
Oh yeah, always wanted one of these and I have new route, courtesy of Southern 1581 magic......I think this looks great on his new Route.
Just testing the Brakes,,,,,,,It runs great........

Quite some Caboose wouldn't say....definitely a conversation piece if not more?
And there he goes to spray those weeds near the Track and off I go to bed.....

Just a simple session with nothing special to do.
Session is in "Kickstarter County" were lots of other sessions are.

Night in the Snow Storm we gather the Trains
It's a cold Snowy Night on our Railroad as we direct incoming Trains to the Central Yard. Aerostar is passing SP with Police on the Watch from the Caboose. We have word a Nor Easter might be coming our way as very cold air from the North is headed in tonight with Moisture from the Gulf, and it might collide over our fair City.......Will see what happens here! You can see the large Snow Flakes already beginning to fall.
I just got some newly Leased Locos from Southern Pacific Corp. other than they could sure use a new Paint Job, the motors are strong and reliable, so that is the most important part for now.
One Passenger Train passes a sitting SP Consist.
We snake our way thru the Puzzle of Switches below, as this Snow Storm is just starting.........We want to get all our movement done before a potential white out occurs.
Ah Good our Aerostar has been turned around and set for Tomorrow mornings departure weather permitting?
Our Vegetation Train has arrived after a long day spraying weeds along the right away.
That's it for now, I'm still testing Signals and Switches on the new division, so far so good.
Night all and I bid you a blessed Sunday.

Snow Storm has abated, Need emergency Coal to some customers now!!
We definitely need some night lights for this operation, but we are going to get this Coal moving tonight within the next 30 mins,,,Our Freight got stopped here,due to Snow Storm Etc.
So were going to load some more Coal in the Green Coal Cars and push out with larger SP Loco parked on Right.....We got emergency calls from our local industries they are running short on Coal Supplies so we can help with a speedy delivery tonight. We are a small Railroad yes, but we can move our Hips to take care of the Customers we have,,,,,
Pride in Service, and Pride in Workmanship....I've called in Extra Crews tonight, they can use extra money for Xmas and we can use the extra Muscle,,,,,,Job is number 1........
It's a little hard to see here, but the Carts are bewing loaded, and the Mine is kicking in overtime to have enough Coal for us to deliver......24 Hr Operation now......
Pulling out 3 loads here, we go and Grab, Shunt the Green Empty's on left and fill them quickly, get the other Power, on Right and get this load moving on the main, Dispatcher has his orders and says we are good to Go.........Teamwork folks, that's what counts when the clock is ticking.
Like these SP Units from JR they work perfectly for my needs, nicely weathered too. Fits right in the Dirty Coal Yard........
That's it for now......See you all later on tonight with more Pics if possible,,,,,

Getting a Coal Drag ready for Power Plant.
Evening all, or should I say Monday Morning,
We are in the middle of getting ready for Coal Loads now.....Power Plant in the City needs a good load of Coal so we need to hurry.
Got our first set loaded to go.
The local came by and dropped off some more Empties for us to use.
We have our local Freight coming into the main yard around the corner. Lots of nice Stores here in the city as we pass by.
Traffic isn't real busy yet as it is 0500 AM so we are stopping short of the Xing for a few minutes while the Yard Master finds a spot for the Aerostar Special ahead of us.
Just got a restricted aspect to approach the Main Yards behind the Aerostar Passenger Train special.
Getting going before they stop us at the gates.....LOL
Will take one track and Coal Load behind us will take Track 2......
Coming out of the Forest as we enter the City.....
We made it to the Power Plant, and our local Freight is going to pass us up on Track 1.......That's it for tonight, I really like this layout it has a lot of possibilities.
I'm really happy with my SP Locos from JR, they work perfectly.........

I'm beginning to gather ideas for improvements to this layout from what you're posting in this thread, mainly where your shots are showing that something is still lacking and could be made better. Also, check your route for dependency errors, I don't know if you noticed it or not but the YARN crash barriers alongside the road appear to be pink and green, which is not what they are supposed to look like. Anyhow, great shots as always Blue! Hopefully I'll be able to get you some proper New Castle Northern power to run on it soon.

Some Pictures of Coal Drags I missed posting last night
Morning Folks,
I was snapping a bunch of Pics last night and I didn't quite get them all in here, so here is some from different views on this fantastic Route.
This SP Power is very strong and had no problem moving this String of Cars around.
Coal mine is making good amount of Inventory here so we can load quick and get on our way.....
Southern 1581 set the tracks perfectly for loading the and Shunting here.........and there is a small side Spur for Power to sit when our local brings in the Empties etc.
I double up the Power here for this heavy load, as we head out to the main.
Anyone need a little Dingy here or want to Fish.....Perfect spot to watch as our Coal Drag passes by. All the boat needs is a little TLC.
Coming thru a fantastic Forest here.........These Trees are looking great.......We are doing about 15-20MPH as will be hitting a tight cure soon.
Dispatcher has us all lined up with Greens....He's holding apposing traffic till we get onto Power Plant Spur.

Well good evening all,

So our Railroad has been busy today as well, all our leased Locos have been returned to their home RR with a big Thank you for services provided.
NS Power has been brought to handle our needs with a little Norfolk Western Power.
Some of the new power needs a 90Day inspections so Mechanical will have it's hands full this week.
Lots of Freight came in too, so we have some much needed work to do......And that's a good thing, I don't like too many empty Tracks laying around on there Laurels so to speak.
Weed Train is blocked in for now but will get him out in due to time...LOL
Well I don't kn ow what else to say about this strange looking Caboose except to say the Eyes have it.........
