Small Island Project

Hi all, I'm working on the scenery of a small island. There is a airport, harbor,some hills and more...
Right now I'm focussing more on the details etc. and in the future there will be a track for a small tram.
Do you like it? Have some tips? Please let me now! Or do you also have some island pictures? Share!

Looks like a cool little map. Just one thing though. When you do your texturing, hold down the "[" or "]" key while laying down the textures. This doesn't leave behind the "checkerboard" pattern.

Interesting little project.......in answer to your question.........I also done an island project (one board).....it's called funfair island........search for hotgrove....one board layouts screenshots thread..........looking forward to seeing more of your screenshots.

Nice island you made hotgrove, I like the race track. In the future I will learn myself how to make AI airplanes... if possible on trainz mac.

I started a very similar project back in TS06 and finally finished in TS10. Its called Island Railways (kuid:186372:100024>. It started as a railway circulating the island with a few towns and stations, then I added an airport, then a switchback railway up a mountain to a resort which has a tramway, then a harbour, then a road and rail link to the "mainland". That's why it took 4 years. :hehe:

If you download it there may be some missing assets which could be from the Settle and Carlisle route but it should still run. There are some sessions to go with it. Its too big to get the whole island in view so no pictures.

Your island reminds me a little of the island of Tuvalu (a very small island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean). The airport runway takes up most of the island.
