As I'm just starting out, I want to shunt about a bit in sidings etc.
Any ideas for shunting manoevres that would help me do this, as I say, to avoid just having lots of matching formations that stay together all the time.
I'm not sure if it's the kind of thing you're looking for but most of our activities involve some shunting. Sometimes the shunting is brief and simple at the beginning and/or the end of a long run, sometimes it's a shunting puzzle that needs some figuring out.
Grab a copy of Turks Castle from the DLS kuid 129486:1801294 then print off the map in the pack and you will find a written shunting challenge for you to complete on the map To date nobody has come back and said they have completed it so you could be the first Regards Bob V

Hi Tom Not all cars can be picked up on the return journey some have to be re loaded and integrated into the consist on the outward trip The route was built from old maps as best I could at the time and tested to prove it was possible to complete the challenge as I envisaged operations where carried out in the real world though here some may have been completed manually or by using horses So rest assured it is perfectly possible to complete the challenge as described on the map Good luck and above all have fun Regards Bob V
