Hottrainz Content

I've recently tried searching for the content of the now-defunct Hottrainz, which was a group of trainz asset creators who made various hungarian rolling stock (for instance the MAV M61 or V41), as it turns out they came back for a short while, now having their site hosted on PTS-Club, from june of 2024 to january of this year, where due to technical issues with their servers the downloads were deactivated. However, now it's been 10 months since that & i'm honestly starting to believe that they aren't gonna come back, so i'm asking the community for help with this one, as i haven't found much rolling stock from Hottrainz on other websites (except for a large chunk of the content on TrainzHungary, with unfortunately little rolling stock).

Hello,

Me and my associates have made several models related to Hungarian railways over the years. It's a small number, mostly passenger cars, but also a few freight cars, mostly historical ones, plus a few scenery pieces. In the near future I also plan to add another covered wagon and a MÁV flatcar. I know it's nothing compared to the resources previously available on Trainz.hu, but these creations are fully available on DLS:

You can also check for Hungarian models by several other authors, such as e.g. Zolinymusz, Hottrainz, Vendel, Sura, Guriga, BalatonTrainz, leventeb, okhiu, Beko & Euromodeller on the DLS,

Best regards,

Those older (historic) passenger cars & freight cars absolutely fit the gap i was needing to fill in terms of rolling stock, now comes the problem - Locomotives. You see, i don't like the simplified paint schemes of MAV that i presume that were introduced in the mid-70s, such as the ones with warning panels (i presume that because i can't find much information on when they were introduced on the German internet), & i would like locomotives that have the more ornate & intricately designed livieries from the 1950s & 60s, like the as-built liveries of the MAV M62, M61, V41, etc, do you perhaps know somewhere where i can get something like that?

I was not studying the changes regarding locomotive paintschemes in Hungary very carefully before, however analyzing available historical photographs, I noticed that a visible switch happened in the 1970s. In the beginning of the decade diesel locomotives still run with colors close to the ones used in the period of their entry into service (for most significant classes it would be 1960-1968). During the decade orange paintscheme as dominant was introduced with some different ideas for using light yellow - e.g. for the plows or for the middle portions of the front walls. Once there was a fellow Trainzer who made a reskin of a M62 class diesel in the late 1960s paintscheme, but I am not sure what happened with that reskin later. You may want to check out this virtual catalog, maybe you'll find some interesting Hungarian rolling stock and its download location there:

I guess i was correct with my assumption. & Thanks for the recommendation, i was able to find some stuff relating to MAV but it's nothing i'm interested in, mostly modern stuff post-60s.
