Look for these items at Jointed Rail First then K&L Trains, and Trainz Forge. I also use a lot of MSGsapper items.

I only started this one a few weeks ago, so only a very small area is looking decent. Anyway, this is "Victoria Point Railway," a fictional regional based in South Carolina. Set in the modern day but inspired by the Class Is of the 40s and 50s, with some Metra inspo thrown in on the Charleston commuter network. I'm using Basemapz and Google Earth screenshots as a guide.

Phase I of the build will be the mainline Charleston-McClellanville, SC, commuter line to Bulls Island via Sullivan's Island, and Wando Branch Mount Pleasant-Nucor Steel. All completely made up and that's why I love this hobby.

Carbon & Limestone Railroad.
After putting a year in to build the D&RG Soldier Summet route I took a long break. 'Just when I thought I was out, Trainz has pulled me back in!' So here we go with a project that I have wanted to do for ages. More than 40 years ago when living in Kentucky I dreamed of a Model Railroad N Gauge layout from the wild & wooley coal town of Carbon down to the small city of Limestone on the Ohio River.

First time over the Crooked Creek bridges with the Carbon & Limestones beautiful steam engine, borrowed from the AB&C! Thankfully we did not put the pride of K&L Trainz down in the creek!

The second Crooked Creek bridge, well the old channel now demoted to a backwater sleugh. I have not decided exactly what year to set this in but right now 1949 is in the lead. Allows for some old timey timber trestle and bridge action for sure.

The impressive Crooked Creek Mining Co. from MSGSapper. Beautiful and old timey looking too! I have some empty space here to fill in. Maybe some more buildings to add to the Mine, or better yet maybe a small engine house and turn-table. I have to admit I don't know much about steam operations. Would they just have the locamotive push the train with the engine being backwards? So maybe a turntable or a wry would fit the bill. As you can see no track beyond the mine, lots to do! But in two days I basically got one mile done in decent form.

Because my Plains Forest Overhaul route has undergone plenty of changes since the last time I posted some screenshots of it in this thread, I'll share some pictures of how the various sections look now, most of which are used as preview screenshots for the route itself and the sessions (there are remakes of previous screenshot previews I shared in the dedicated thread I made for my route).
