The L&A is again testing its steam turbine, and yes, that is the infamous L&A research bobber caboose behind the tender. The caboose is jammed with measuring and analyzing instruments and is staffed by the "crazy lab coat guys" as the road crews call them :hehe:. The research engineers have again tweaked the "turbo-encabulator" in hopes it may also be employed in conjunction with a drawn reciprocation dingle arm to reduce sinusoidal depleneration
Although the train is coupled to the Angel of the Winds and preparing to leave for Charleston S.C. the L&A's steam turbine will be heading up the Mermaid to Miami if all goes well.
