Here are some photos of the new Sand Pit Jct in TANE.
Im still working on it and unlike last time Im going to be working on a town to town type fashion and then once the towns are done I will be working on the areas between them. Hope you all like the work so far.![]()
Here are some shots of what the new version of whats left of my old White Pine River Railroad (all I have left is whats left of the mountain pass area) I have no plans on releasing this version of the route to public and Im going to keep this route for just personal use since my putting all of my effort on making my IRM & Mainline route project to be the release route. So until then, Im working on this to pass the time and get back into the grove of making routes. Im giving Sand Pit Jct. Im turning it from just an old siding with a few buildings to a bit more of a small industrial but now abandon industrial town where (instead of lumber) this time it was once a mining town and had a siding with a locomotive shed since Sand Pit Jct was a place where frequent wheel slipping happened and where sand was always required to keep trains moving, but in the advent of trains stalling the town has a shed for helper engines to be stored on standby incase this happened and in winter months when heavy snow came it was also used to store rotary snow plows at one time. Sadly due to decline of materials in the area the town was abandon but was left mostly intact but still has a few locals who still refuse to leave leaving only the Railway Depot and any facilities associate with it being the only things left in the town that has not been derelict. over the years the town has been the spot of a number of ghost sittings (Particularly ghost trains that either had accidents or were scraped long ago) one of them just happens to be a certain engine the locals will tell you "If you hear its whistle get out now or you will regret it" with the number #311 but I will get to that later.... For now the town is like a time capsule where not much has been torn down and everything is still left as it was when the locals left....
