Have you tried a 1m high, short @ 150' hump gradient, so that railcars automatically cut cars at 5 mph, and they coast downhill at slow speeds 2 15mph, on a 0.02% yard bowl track ?
What hump assets are you using ... I located all the great automatic uncoupling assets.
I hate it when railcars roll down at breakneck speeds ... I used to work in a hump yard, it was awful noise
I'm still playing with it's set up. but I'm using TPR hump tower and speed retarders from the DL. And this is the fourth time I've given this a try. And using hump yard routs as examples of setup. Speed isn't the only issue, consistent power going up without going backwards is one I have in cab mode. the whole consist comes undone if you roll back. But it a lot of fun
(escd84 ) Fantastic work, the yard is a work of art. How many tracks? and how have you set it up. I'm using both speed retarder, and invisible directional speed retarders. Would like to see more of your work of the route and yard .
If I would play with the high graphic settings, as on top the picture, then I come to something around the 13 FPS. If I drive in it, I have the settings to normal. Then get in the fullness of the yard, very good 20-25 FPS.
I think it is sufficient. Is actually only the central yard with all the rolling stock which the FPS pushes down. Otherwise, you could already play with better settings. If the yard is full, then you have to go down with the settings. What annoys and it looks like before the hotfix release.
After I have beta-patched the game to Build 79784, I play at the highest settings at around 20FPS in full Yard!

Thanks for the kind words. With branches, 42 tracks are operated from the hump. What bothers me is the pace of the wagon when they come down the hill. Currently I am working only with the Diretional speed retarders, which is placed before the first junction on the mountain, 10m behind the uncoupler. This is set to LOW. This makes them run smoothly through the yard! Depending on whether they loaded or not, even not even until the end. At the end is still a brake that brings the wagon to stop, if it has not happened yet. That was it. Do not know if it would be possible in the game when the braking effect is dependent on the weight of the wagon?
