Show Off Your Routes *Potential For Large Screenshots*

I can remember sitting in Ogilvie Station waiting for a delayed train departure when the sky looked like that.

Really beautiful work!

Paul :)

That does look great. Last year, trains had were delay cause of how hot the temperature was. It was 100 degress, the commuter trains had to run at 40 MPH, while the Light Rails had to run at 35 MPH becuase the wires sag when the temperature goes up, but good thing I did not had to go out in that heat

One of my latest jobs on my Malton & Driffield route was to model the village of Little Driffield, one mile from Driffield. It should have been a matter of plonking down a few houses but I went nuts and now it has road names , detailed back gardens etc. I used Google Earth and the 1951 OS map mainly but couldn't find any photos except the church and a chapel so much of it is guesswork. It had a Manure Works in the centre so summer nights must have been.....fragrant :o

You can just see a train in the distance passing Little Driffield Crossing where there was a siding to load manure products.

@cnwfan - you're welcome!

@Gman347 - thank you! My guess from the screenshots that had to bring back memories that day.

---

@Jdriver - thanks. Now that's bad when hot temperatures like that causes trains to be delayed, usually is a sign that the equipment hasn't been maintained that well or something. As for the overhead wires I also see that happening with the wires on the poles in my area. During the summer they sag to the point you would think the power company would put a pole there but during the winter the wires are tight as can be... The fun of expansion and contraction :D

---

@lewisner - your route there looks great! :D I can tell you all of the little details do pay off one way or another ;)

My turn for pics:

Just seasonal this time :)

Great looking urban yard, Hert. What city are you working on? (I should probably recognize the station, but it eludes me)

One of my ongoing projects is to recreate RAF Driffield Airfield which was right next to the line but didn't have any sidings strangely enough. It isn't shown on any OS maps and has been largely disused since 1977 so much of it is submerged in dense tree growth though all but one of the Type C hangars is intact and in industrial use. There's one semi decent wartime photo on Wikimedia but otherwise it is guesswork. The hangar doors are only half the height they should be but are the nearest I can find.

Its my own creation I named the city Cedar City, and its got some inspiration by Chicago. As for the station its a model I imported from sketchup, its based off a Monopoly train station.

Hert, where did those RI GP40’s in the foreground and the RI GP30 come from? They look…interesting.

The blue/yellow RI GP40 is a custom reskin. As for the RI GP30 its one of cloakedghost, but I dont know if its still available.
