Something different today:

Also I've decided to close the poll early since Sunday won't work. Today sometime I should be able to create the cab ride video from a Metra train view making stops at all stations just like the real life trains.

Cheers

After like 5 retries I finally got the cab ride video recorded and is being uploaded as we speak. In the meantime I present some screenshots during the recording:

Hiawathamr, WOW! What a great cab ride! I did not realize how much route you had completed. I had noticed all of the screenshots, but it is amazing to see them altogether in the video! I did notice that some of the crossings had popping noises in the sound files, most notably at 15 minutes, 26minutes and 30-40 seconds, and 36minutes 50 seconds to 37 minutes. Maybe the creator of those crossing sounds can fix the DC offset in those files.
Looking forward to seeing more!

@Jdriver - thank you for sharing. Those signs are what I tried to look for on the DLS but never found any. Unfortunately they're on a 3rd party site which won't be any good for me as I'm trying to keep everything within the builtin (core - no DLCs) / DLS for easy management of the dependencies. I might have to see if there is anything from DES that could be reskinned to be similar to those signs. Thanks for sharing nevertheless.

@Forester1 - thank you! As for those popping crossings (as I call them) I forgot to turn them off from the settings they have which I'm glad that setting still works as all of the other settings doesn't. As for the items being fixed by the creator I can tell you it won't be happening as BNSF50 has passed away a couple of years ago. IIRC permission was given to update them and release them again to the DLS from his wife a couple of years ago but don't quote me on that.
To be safe I've been fixing them using the alias feature Trainz has so it only contains the config file, thumbnail, and the bell sound and that's it. The original item then becomes a dependency for the alias. More info about alias can be found here https://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/HowTo/Reskin_an_Asset_using_an_alias

Cheers

@hiawathmr, the sound files are an easy fix. Use freeware Audacity, open the file, select all, go to Effect - Normalize, and make sure "Remove DC Offset (center on 0.0 vertically)" is checked. Then just export back to the original file name (save as would save it as an Audacity project, which you don't want). Done. I could do them and send them back to you if someone could upload the assets with the fixed audio files.
