Well! Got the "SP" lettering lost, and still can't find a high-res UP patch on the web! If anyone has a hi-resolution pic of a UP patch, front or back, preferably in the size used on the AC44s and Dash-9s, please PM it to me!

Thank You,
Judah Rice

I'm not very much a fan of the UP lettering on the patch. The lettering wasn't hand-drawn on the prototype. Instead, they use stencils.

Correct, but you never know... Well, with an hour or two of work it's about ready for me to do the other road number then give them both a dusting of grime:

In complement with the ACE cars above, a few days ago ACE's newest bombardier equipment was spotted making its way to California. The new purchases sport a new paint job in line with ACE's new rebranding from Altamont Commuter Express to Altamont Corridor Express.

So far only a pair of Bistro option cars have been spotted, but here is an example of the typical car design from bombardier
I'm curious about those cabeeses now
Now about these Corridor BBL's are these a prototypical thing or is this pure trainzdreaming?

Completely prototypical. A week or so someone spotted a pair of these in a consist headed to California, I believe there are some shots on trainorders. I have yet to see them anywhere else, but with the near completion of ACE's new facility in Stockton Ca, I expect to see the cars in service soon. The caboose are skinned from JR's built in rolling stock. I would like to release them, but it is not up to me. I may pursue it a little more once I finish up some other Caltrain stuff that I have going and release it as a pack.

Edit, here is the thread:

Nice job NIARTcar
hey Judah, just putting in my ameture opinion, not bad for a first skin, but you should use the City Of font for the UP name, it's the actual text style they use, if it's at all available.
Not meaning to "derail" anything with these skins.

The PSD is finally getting there:

On the left is the CAN-Car Bilevel series with rivets, the right is the more modern Bombardier smooth side series (less the raised band through the center of the car)
I hate to beat a dead horse and it's probably already been answered but is that yukon's BBL or is that a new one?

Hello,

i know, this may be a wrong place for that question. but do anyone know how to make curved selection in Photoshop/Gimp/anything else. I`m trying to do a Tri-Rail GP49 and i don`t know how to do painting on sides.

Beating a dead horse? Hardly. I rarely post most of the time, so I don't expect everyone to know what I am up to. Yes, they are Yukonzooms Bombardier Bilevel coaches. I have been working on a PSD for them that allows you to make good looking skins easily. The hard part is building in all the variations of the coaches over the years, up to now they have had 8 different series evolutions of the bilevel.

Does anyone know how to get the lighting to look brighter on a locomotive? I want to make a dull loco look like this.

Dull, dirty loco's, and their done dirt cheap !

My viewpoint ... the grimier a loco, the more realistic it looks ... They didn't always have time to warsh', and polish them.
