Show off your reskins!

He knows, he won't listen though... he can't release them, or well anything but take screenies of them and use them for his own enjoyment...

Ummm, I'm not sure JR may not accept custom reskinning for payware -->only freeware.

Your right. Im not allowed to release the locomotive but i can release the skin with permission. I choose not to though alot of the time. So yes they allow me to skin payware but im not allowed to release them. They are called personal reskins.

Conrail SD40-2 I was working on. sadly i cant finish because i have no idea how the logos go and i could find a good conrail quality logo.

Conrail's SD40-2's were built with the older flexicoil trucks due to problems Amtrak was having with their SDP40F with a modified version of the HT-C trucks that were standard on the SD40-2.

You can't release the skin because it's payware.

The Asset itself is payware, what you pay for, ie. that whole CDP, is payware. It is Illegal to re-host a payware asset without the permission of the author. 'nuff said, pretty straight forward...

I can release the skin, the .tga file with mikes permission or the creator's permission. If i ever release something I always get the creators permission.

I think I'm following bentrain's logic, the skin is absolutely useless without the original unit. So the only people who can use the skin are the ones who have that unit. Ryabstrains is right though, the textures are considered part of the original mesh.
