Show off your reskins!

Better than I could do. Watch this vid it may help you with the painting over the details issue.

I use Gimp 2.8, and thanks for the complement. You made me blush.:) It sure did take a long time to match the stripes on 145. Maybe if I get Trainut's permission, I'll release them!

A recommendation for using black and other really heavy colors. Try to make them a little bit more faded and for black, try not to use straight black. use a very heavy gray, like have V set to 16 and S set to 0. It makes black look much nicer on them.

One question. Im using gimp, so what is V and S. I tried to make it look like that because when I first put it on, everything was at full blast and I was like "whoopsie" lol. ll work on it a little more. Thanks for the advice again!

I have a question regarding reskinning of GP40-2W undecorated version by Davesnow. How can i change yellow color to white without losing details?

i`m using Photofiltre 7, but also have a Photoshop 7.0 and Gimp. If you know how - please answer :)

Desaturate & Levels (or curves if your inclined). I don't know Photofilter, so I can't be any more specific then that.

This is the Beta version of my DL&W Steamers, with the earlier models needing a fixer-upper.

I also plan on making a 4-8-4 using Ben's Steam Construction Template from his site. I also need to model the correct tender trucks.

Sincerely,

Nice reskin, looks like an old Norfolk Southern Baldwin.
Thanks, that's what I'm hopin' it'll look like.
BTW does anyone know why it has those light colored blocks on it and how to get rid of them?
