Should I get previous versions of Trainz

Hi All,

So far I only have TS10 (and a couple add-ons). Like the title says, is there any point in buying the older versions as well (i.e. Trainz Driver, Trainz Classics 1 & 2, TS09 World Builder etx)? Do they have extra routes and content that is not available in TS10?

Cheers, Aaron

If it were me I wouldn't bother. They have all been great in one way or another, but 10 has all the routes, and you really don't need the other versions.

Each version is just gonna keep getting better and better why go back, go foward when the new version comes out , the multiplayer is gonna be great;)

Just go with TS2010 in my opinion

For example, TS2010 contains both routes from TC 1&2 - Harlem Line and Metropolis - Modula City. Many routes from TRS 2004 and TRS 2006 are included in TS2010. I had a large route from TC1&2 that I imported into TS 2010 with mostly no problems except for some DLS stuff I put in TC1&2. I believe that all the built-in content from TC1&2 is in TS2010 - if I'm wrong someone should correct me.

Bottom line - TS2004, TS2006, and TC1&2 have all been removed from my PC and I'm using TS 2010 exclusively, in native mode for performance purposes. Stuff that is broke can either be fixed or replaced by something just as good from the DLS. As another plus, TS2010 runs much better on my laptop than TC1&2 ever did.
