You think its hard finding H.O. Models?
Try finding some hon3 rolling stock. And then, try finding some that isnt D&RGW!
Look on Ebay or anyplace that sells hon3, and I promise you there will be at least 1 piece of D&RGW rolling stock of some kind. Kit or pre built.
That is where it is hard. Most of my cars are D&RGW or colorado modeled. I only have 1 car that I know for a fact would have been on the line I model, the Southern Pacific NG (Carson & Colorado). Now yes I dont model the scenery, but I do try hard to get stuff that resembles SPNG rolling stock. 2 of my 3 current engine are bassed off of SPNG prototypes, all three are brass. SPNG 2-8-0 #1, and SPNG 4-6-0 #9. My third is tender driven 4-4-0 bassed off standard baldwin designs, and I have it becouse it closley resembles #10 of the SPNG. I will however give in and by one of Blackstone's new C-19s when released. Its not like Im getting a K-36 and lettering it SPNG or something.
So yea, non D&RGW hon3. Now your talkin hard to find.
Edit: Reading my post I find it myself a little harsh. This isnt ment to be a personal attack in anyway. Sorry if anyone takes it that way.
How about me trying to find G-scale Big Haulers at a great price and trains that will run on 5' or less curves. You think HO is hard, try finding G-Scale West Side Lumber Co. shays.
Cheers,
JRT
I can find a 3 trucks West Side Shay, I just can't afford it
