Shedmaster, what's it do?

SuperSpeedMaglev

Wonderfully Old Fashioned
Like in simple terms, real simple, what does it do?

Also wondering if one of its jobs is to auto send out trainz to collect goods and stuff.

Hi

You got it. Try running the PLL session "Shedmaster: servicing Wolstanton Colliery" to see it in action. You can then look at it in Surveyor to see how it has been set up.

Hi again

PLL http://www.potteriesloopline.co.uk/

Make sure you download the manual from the documentation page as well. You will need to buy the PLL to get full use from the rule as it uses the specially scripted industries on the route to work fully. These send messages out that are acted on by either the industries own privately owned loco(s) or by LMS locos called from the engine shed.

The Shedmaster package is a free download on the PLL site. In really simple terms, Shedmaster acts like "Schedule at Trackmark".

A train driver can request that a new library schedule be assigned to the locomotive requesting it,
or
A train driver can request that a new library schedule be assigned to another locomotive waiting at a trackmark called an MPD (Motive Power Depot),
or
A specially modified industry can request that a new schedule be assigned to a locomotive waiting at an MPD.

Requests made by train drivers are done by means of a driver command called "Driver Communication".

That's the simple explanation.

Hi

You're description is very basic but is on the right lines. The manual is a free download so why not download it and read about what it does?
