Sevice Packs

I'm a wee bit puzzled about this packs thing. I have TRS06 on my pc but recently added TRS09. I don't see any pack for me as my build is 37625??
 
37625:- click auran announcements then click search this forum (top right hand corner) type in 2009 patch where it says search this forum click TS 2009 SP Release candidate available for down load and you will see the update download it hope this helps have a nice day weejock

It is the first one in the link to SP2 that kamran gave. Follow the link, it is the first link in the second post, 37625 to 40400.

Hi Mac,

Thanks for that but a problem is still coming up as follows.
When I try for the first patch from my basic 37625 I get a window up.

At the top IS a line is greyed out C:\programme Files (x86\Auran\752009_Cabon_City

Below in a box...

"Unable to determine the version number of your Trainz Installation"

At the same time another window is there headed "locate Trainz Exe"

Cabon City is no longer on THIS pc and the patch seems to be directing me to IT??

Click the button with the two dots on it to the right of the install path box and browse to wherever your 2009 is installed.

Download, install & run ccleaner. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download - Run the top icon on the left first; Cleaner. - Then the 2nd icon down on the left. Registry cleaner. That should clean out alot of your old, no longer needed crap from your registry...

Have CC and used it. Can I ask clam1952. When I tap into the dotted lines and then to the folder where TRS2006 is which internal folder in the programme do I install it?
 
You can't install a patch for TS2009 into TRS2006; it's a totally different version of Trainz. You should have TS2009 installed somewhere. If you're not sure where, right-click on TS2009's desktop icon and make a note of the location.

That said, do you have Cabon City as a standalone instllation. The version of TS2009 that comes with Cabon City is not a full installation; it has just enough functionality to run that particular route. If that's the case, there may (or may not) be patches specific to it at trainzland.de or here, but you'll have to look.

Thanks for the reply but you have made a mistake. Think you have overlooked the reason for this thread as it IS about TRS09 hence my add-on query! I did have Cabon as stand alone but but have removed it for now as I indicated as things pointed to that. You will note in the thread that I have been sent the link for the 3 patches I need to use in order. I have these to hand on my pc but need to know where in TRS09 they go or are extracted to, whatever. This was the point I had made but still no further on!
 
Run TS2009 first, then exit out of TS2009, then install the first service pack/patch. The patch is executed by .exe file so it should find the correct path to install directly into your TS2009 directory. (the patch/service pack doesn't need to be in the TS2009 directory to install).

Well finally got the Auran Patching window up but a sentence in red says "Unable to determine the version number of your Trainz installation".

But tried going ahead anyway, Get the info up to say it is checking disk space and it is patching from the relative number to the next and that it is unpacking and patching. However after half an hour the bar has only shown about an eighth of an inch running although it blinks as if it is but nothing is moving?
 
I didn't realise the first patch would be a lengthy thing and left the pc on. Glad to say that the first two patches are installed but the 3rd one (40040 to 41844) cannot be installed due to this....

"This version of Trainz requires the August 2009 release of DirectX9. The patch can be retried once Directx9 is updated."

So where do I get that from??
