Setting route height

Greetings,

In Surveyor 1.0 or 2.0 - if you are creating a route that is semi-prototypical and for example the height above sea level is in the range of 500-600 ft (not sure what that translates to in meters) - is there a default height variable to set a base height of say 550 feet, or do your baseboards always start at zero and have to be raised up from there.

I am hoping to get started on a new route in a month or two. If there is a default baseboard height variable, that would help quite a bit.

Thanks,

Fred Bray

In Surveyor, open Edit Environment. Click on the Location tab, then use the World Origin tool to set the Latitude, Longitude, and Altitude (height/elevation). World Origin refers to a specific point of your choosing on the route, but elevations everywhere on the route will then be relative to the Altitude of that specific point.

Thanks for the feedback. Kind of what I thought but I have been away from route building for quite a while so the refresher is a big help.

Thanks again,

Fred Bray
