Sessions For West from Denver Route

It has been a long time but the sessions I prepared for the WfD route did not get published on the TrainzItalia web site so I decided to upload them to the DLS.

The cdp files uploaded today each contain the session and the associated HTML file. I hope they will make it on to the DLS by the weekend.
The session names are: -
<kuid:450495:1097> WfD Coal To Winter Park
<kuid:450495:1098> WfD Refuelling at North Yard
<kuid:450495:1095> WfD Ski Train Evening Run
<kuid:450495:1094> WfD Ski Train Morning Run
<kuid:450495:1099> WfD Tankers to Denver
<kuid:450495:1096> WfD Work at Rocky Lumber Yard

and the HTML files have the same names but the asset IDs are 1200 series not 1000 series, all easy to install and delete.

I hope those of you who install them enjoy them, I tried to ensure that all the assets should be available on the DLS.

Thanks gentlemen, I originally made those sessions during the development of the Route with Jango and I believe he sent all six to N3V when he submitted the route for inclusion in TRS22. They only selected the two Ski Train sessions (mine are a little different to those released with the route). The Lumber Yard session was radically changed in the N3V release because they had screwed up the lumber Yard tracks. Once they sorted out the Lumber Yard at Rocky I rewrote the session to accommodate all the discrepancies in track placement. The other sessions needed to be modified because of the differences between TRS19 and 22 so all are compatible with the route that is part of TRS22.

Bob,
I am missing one item for <kuid:450495:1096> WfD Work at Rocky Lumber Yard. Do you know where I can get <kuid:57230:39219> ?
Thank you for your help,
Scott

Hi Scott,

That is a 20 mph speed sign that was lost from the route when the Lumber Yard was messed up in the first release of the route, the session will work without it but if you send me a PM I will send you a copy of the cdp file.

Any chance of getting that put up on the DLS? I know I and, I suspect, many others are also missing that item.

It is an asset made by jango the route creator so I do not want add it a standalone item but if people who want it PM me I am happy to give them my email address so I can send them the cdp.

Gentlemen,

I have reworked the Rocky lumber yard session because I discovered that some Trackmarks and Junctions were not being recognised in the session rule list.They were in the first release of TRS22 but I upgraded to TRS22 PE and a problem was found so The Session is submitted to the DLS today as kuid2:450495:1096:1 under the same name so it should be available in a few days. I have also added the missing file so there should not be a missing dependency when this version is installed.
Sorry about that but I fear Trainz is evolving faster that am able to keep up these days.

I realised that I managed to screw up again, it is simple stupidity but partly beyond my understanding.

In the original session I had an Elgin SW1200 on the quarry spur at Rocky, when I reworked the session I noticed that the Elgin showed as red in the driver setup and I could not allocate the driver to it.
So for the :1 version of the session I picked an SW1500 I had installed and allocated my driver. BIG mistake I picked a locomotive from a Jointed Rail Pack and I know not everyone will have it.

Now I have downloaded a freeware SW1500 (<kuid:359354:990144> SW1500 SP 2575) by btvfd and I thank him for making it available to us. so now I am afraid there will be another wait while the latest version of the session kuid2:450495:1096:2 is processed for the DLS.

I think this is a fully compatible payware free version of the session that actually works in all versions of Trainz 22.

Hello I recently purchased TRS22 PE and tried the single freight session on the West from Denver route included with the game. I wanted to try more freight sessions so I found this forum posting. I downloaded the following sessions from the DLS:
  • WfD Coal to Winter Park (DLS <kuid:450495:1097>)
  • WfD Refuelling at North Yard (DLS <kuid:450495:1098>)
  • WfD Tankers to Denver (DLS <kuid:450495:1099>
  • WfD Work at Rocky Lumber Yard (DLS <kuid:450495:1096:2>)

Unfortunately there are 7 missing assets across these 4 sessions - can anyone please tell me where I can find them?
<kuid:523:19723455> (Pier Luigi?)
<kuid2:276266:100503:4>
<kuid2:303612:48:1>
<kuid2:303612:43:1>
<kuid2:68787:1461:11>

The kuid 523 assets are driver avatars made by N3V for people who supported the fund raiser for TANE but sadly they never carried them forward to other versions of Trainz

Hi DennR, up until this year I had been playing various trainz versions over several years in a non-Steam installation. This year I purchased TRS22 PE on Steam and hence am playing a clean installation, so as I stated in my original post, none of those kuids were available despite what you say. Unless you mean I have to install all of TRS22 PE content (which I have not done yet l)? After reading Forester1's post, I installed the packages he cited that I already own or are free on the DLS and now have 4 of the 6 kuids:
  • <kuid:523:19723455> - I installed 3DZUG DRG Class 05 - S1502 from Content Store which gave me this asset
  • <kuid2:276266:100503:4> - I installed Fall Harvest Nebraska from Content Store which gave me this asset
  • <kuid2:68787:1461:11> and <kuid2:68787:1461:11> - I installed Kickstarter County (TANE) from Content Store which gave me these two assets
I could not find the two assets: <kuid2:303612:48:1> and <kuid2:303612:43:1> - I installed the Willamette Valley RR from the DLS but these two assets were not included.
<kuid2:303612:43:1> is used in both WfD Refuelling at North Yard and WfD Work at Rocky Lumber Yard.
<kuid2:303612:48:1> is used in WfD Refuelling at North Yard.

By the way, so far I have only tried playing WfD Coal to Winter Park, and this was before I installed the two missing kuids. I was able to play most of the session but unfortunately after decoupling the two helper locomotives when stopped at the signal near WPARK NORTH, the signal never turned green. I looked along the track further west of WPARK NORTH, and found a "dead" AI train. I manually drove the train past my waiting mile-long coal train, but the signal stayed red, and I was prevented from manually changing the WPARK NORTH switch. One thing I should mention - I did reload the game once right at the point where I stopped the coal train at the signal before WPARK NORTH. I have had issues with continuing after a reload several times before in various trainz versions, so I usually try avoiding reloading and I try to finish a session in one sitting, but not in this case. Maybe this is why I couldn't finish the session?

Those last two are odd in that they show packaged for me in both TRS19 and TRS22, but they both show only DLS routes as dependents for me. In TANE, they show as "Installed, Payware", but again, only list DLS routes as dependents. So I am beginning to think that they came over with purchased locomotive sets or some other assets rather than routes. Unfortunately, I can't tell what it might have been.

No problem Forester, thanks for your help. After your and DennR's feedback I was thinking I should probably load all of my payware including long before I moved to Steam as well as what comes with TRS22 PE that I bought moving to Steam last July. This may help in this case as well as any future routes and/or sessions I download off of the DLS

Just an update - I ended up installing ALL of my payware that I purchased over the past several years, into my new Steam-based TRS22 installation and that addressed all remaining missing assets, although it consumed another 85GB of disk space lol!. Anyway I played all four of the following sessions:
  • WfD Coal to Winter Park (could not finish due to stuck red signal just before junction WPARK North)
  • WfD Refuelling at North Yard (could not finish due to stuck red signal "Signal 603"
  • WfD Tankers to Denver - completed with no issues
  • WfD Work at Rocky Lumber Yard - completed with no issues

I really did enjoy playing all four sessions. If anyone knows how I can fix the issue with the first two sessions I would very much appreciate it.
