If you bought an Aurun product last April, and registered it, but only recently attempted to use the DLS and were told you can’t because your serial number has already been registered, what would you do?
If, lets say, your serial number is AT6D-XXXX-QS6F-4YHH-FU7U-9S57 and someone else has AT6D-XXXX-4YGG-FU7U-9S57 but when they registered they were a bit careless and pressed HH instead of GG, you are stuffed.
This is what must have happened to me and although I can understand Aurun’s position it is totally wrong to put the onus on me, or the retailer from where I purchased it. They’ve said take it back (to PC World) but after all this time they would think I was mad and in any case it is not their fault either. It was brand new and fully sealed.
The fault is with the person who registered MY number for a program I PAID for.
Be warned……… it does not matter that you pay for an Aurun product, what matters is the serial number and, as far as Aurun is concerned, if someone uses your number it is simply a case of “First Come First Served” and to hell with you.
I feel that my integrity has been brought into question.
I am not hard up for the odd tenner, one way or the other, but it is highly unlikely I will again purchase an Aurun product with my hard-earned money. The whole thing stinks!
