Screenshots of European Trains

Today I've started a route based on the Nort-South connection in Brussels. When you walk in the Belgian capital, you often stroll without realising over a railway bridge or tunnel, because the North-South connection runs straight trough the city center. The route is completely fictional, so the city is not called Brussels, but Leeuwrooi. It's a looong way from finished, but personaly, I think it looks ok. :)

A Monday morning in Leeuwrooi...

6:00 The Orient Express arrives quietly, trying not to wake up the sleeping civilians...

6:30 The first commuter train to Brussels leaves the tunnel behind...

...and passes an old steam engine which is waiting to do some shunting.

6:50 The international express to Cologne is ready to depart, hauled by an Atlantic type 12. The driver is doing his final checks.

Hello Mezzoprezzo , in your picture above (which by the way is excellent) , those mountains in the back, are they backgrounds or...how have you made them look so real? thanks
P.S. I tried to send you a PM but you seem to have your inbox full :)

Hi okhiu.

The mountains are hand built in Surveyor in a route I'm currently working on. Here's a shot in wireframe mode in case anyone thinks I'm cheating with backdrops!

Thanks for alerting me about my PM inbox. I've cleared out some space now if you'd like to have another go.

Cheers

mezzo,

I followed with great interest your thread (way back) on how you do some of your scenery techniques and have somewhat successfully done them on
my own routes. I especially like the day fog effect which blurs and softens the sharp distance details. Keep up the excellent work mate. Brilliant!

Dan.

@Diesebuilder

Thank you for your kind words Dan.

Do you mean the Scenery - let's get real! thread which I started a couple of years back.

I could perhaps bump that thread and do something on this bit of my mountain route as there seems to be some interest.

This locomotive is not yet public. To download you need permission from šmejki04. Contact can only be on the forum . Translated via Google :)

you can contact me on my forum at the nick honzasmejkalu !!!!, not at the smejki (the messages on this nick I dont check). This is a beta test - loco will be public for the users of my forum and with my permission for downloading. I know, that is unpublic solution, but it has one reason - very few peoples give me some materials for my creations, but my creations want everyone :-( But is not a problem ask me for a permisson, sometimes it will take more time until I grant it, it has only one reason - iam a happy dad now and i dont have so much free time.
