I have built a layout and have 24 trains running from 3 different yards. I am running all this with AI in TRS 2010EE. I would like when I start the session that the trains would all be sent on their different routes automatically. Now I have to click on each driver and copy commands for each from the schedule library to get them started. It takes around 45 mins to get them all started on their rounds. I guess I am just lazy as I would like to sit back and watch them do their things without having to start each one manually. I read about a rule called timetable and thought maybe this would be what I wanted. I downloaded it from the DLS, but had so many missing dependencies and red flags that I just deleted it. Any help will be appreciated..Thanks....

From Surveyor, you can assign driver commands to each train so that when you start up in driver, all trains start at once. In Surveyor, click on the menu button in the upper left and select "Edit Session". In this window, there should be a list of rules that are default installed. Select "Driver Set-up" and click on the edit button at the bottom of the window. Every locomotive on the route should show up in a new window. Here you can add the driver commands that you have been adding in Driver Mode. Once they have been entered, ckick on the check-mark in the lower right corner of the window. Then do the same for the Edit Session window. Then save the session. Now in Driver mode, select the session you have just created and enjoy watching the trainz run their routes.

Then, choose which driver you want and use the "Copy Commands" feature to whichever schedule you choose.
This way is good if you ever get into timetables as it allows you to cover a longer period in sections, rather than trying to place all the commands in the area for one driver.
I also seem to think there is a limit to haw many a driver can have at any one time, but don't quote me on that.
I have sucessfully timetabled god knows how many trains on the ECML route and its a real pleasure to sit and watch.

Thanks for the replies. I have all my driver commands listed in the "Schedule Library" and when I start the session I click on each driver and select the "Copy Commands" item for each driver. This takes some time as I have 25 trains running on my layout. Are you telling me that I should put the same commands from the Schedule Library into the Driver Setup? That would be great if somehow I could copy the commands for each driver from the Schedule Library into the Driver Setup area. I have so many commands it would hard to get all of them into the Driver Setup area. If there is a way I could copy them from one area to the other please let me know how....Thanks again all.....

When you have the schedules set up as you like, then yes, you can use the "Copy Commands" in driver setup.
You need to have it enabled in the command list, as it sounds you have.
In all, I have timetables, routing paths and everything set up in schedules. I don't know if you have it, but the "WaitUntilII" command on the DLS is excellent.
When I first set mine up, I had to use multiple "WaitFor" and "WaitUntil" commands and it was a mess. Thats the "WaitUntil(mm)" minute version thats built in.
The "WaitUntilII" command lets you select HH:MM from flyout menus. I don't get how it can run rom 01 to 24 on the hours instead of 00 to 23 !

There is no need to re-enter the actual commands. You copy the schedule from the schedule library for each driver in exactly the same way you currently do now in Driver.

Ricke82 is correct.
Create yor schedules in bite size pieces and, in driver setup, you can use the copy commands to load each piece in as needed.
That way, if you find a problem, you can see which schedule it is in and correct it without having to wade through loads of commands. If you have any confusion on what has been said, I'll post a couple of screens to show what I have.

Thanks..I guess I get a little confused about Driver Setup and Schedule Library. Right now I have my schedules for each driver set up in the Schedule Library and use the Copy Commands to start up each consist schedule. I am now using the Wait Until Hour or Minute for each consist, so that they don't all start at the same time to keep down any bottlenecks. Your screen shots would be a great help. I sure appreciate all the help. I have been working with TRS2010EE for around a year now and still am on the learning curve...I also have been using the Wait For command and was wondering if there is a smaller than 5 secs wait anywhere. I thought I could make my train hornz sounds more realistic if I could have a smaller wait time than 5 secs between hornz sounds. Here in the US we have different hornz patterns that mean different things. Oh well !!! Thanks again all......

I have all my timetables in categories...
..with departure time, start station and end station. In the UK all the stations have a 3 letter identifier. (Even our bus stops each have a unique code!!)
You can also copy commands from elsewhere in the schedule list. Just make sure it has been created before you try to insert it.
Notice how different the "WaitUntil" command is to the built in one.
These are the first few drivers for the ECML route, York to Kings Cross, with all the commands waiting to be copied in. There is no way the game would cope if all those commands were placed in the drivers list in one go
The next 3 show how I stable the trains when not on route. I don't use, or know how to set up, portals.
I have 3 dedicated stabling area's. Newark, Doncaster and York. I used the existing lines at York but made my own on the unused baseboards at Newark and Doncaster. Not pretty, but very functional.
Who dumped that tree on the junction?? Have never noticed that,
Hopefully that goes some way to helping. I only put them into categories to keep them neat when editing them.

As for the horns sound, you could try using the "Notify" command between hornz. That would be less than 5 seconds.

Do you have the latest WaitUntilV2? It has a mose over feature that lets you see what the waitUntil time is in driver. Helps keep track of when things are supposed to happen. WaitUntilV2

The pictures are great and will be of great help. The Notify command works great for my horn sounds. Also the idea of making different schedules for the different segments of a train schedue is a great idea. I am starting to do over my schedules to work these in.
