Saving while driving original sessions

Hi guys.
Does or can saving a session change anything regarding the rules , instructions or outcome of a session. I have noticed that it does seem to make a differance when going back to complete a saved session, for example : a saved session may not tell me that the session is completed and there seems to be hassles sometimes with industries being empty and contents of rolling stock have dissappeared or changed , whereas a session that is completed without saving along the way may complete fully.I must add that it MIGHT be me too because I don't always do the job exactly and stick to speed limits etc. as per instructions .
Jan.

Hi Jan - Yes, saving a game and then resuming it can affect the outcome. Some rules were not written with resuming a game in mind and they either don't start up again or drop some of the information.

If you can identify these assets then it might be possible to fix them. Breaking speed limits should not have any effect on the game behaviour. I hear that TS12 is prone to errors when resuming a game.

Thanks for confirming Trevor .
It can be a hassle because one mistake after hours in a session and one has to start all over...
ps - I like your avatar, is that the Red Devil I see there ?

Jan - it was the only South African avatar available from the list. It is not displayed when I look at the forum, nor is the signature and I don't know how to change them to display.

Being able to save and resume a game after half an hour is very important so if you can tell me which assets are giving problems I might be able to modify them, but no promises.

Cheers - Trevor

If you have any portals set up to produce trains, this will reset (i.e. start producing with the first train in the list) when reloading a saved session.

Thanks guys, I will try and determine which asset/s play up when it occurs again Trevor .Sometimes when I reload a saved session it loads with broken couplers and I have to restart anyway ( the Mojave DPU push session is very sensitive to coupler breakage as it is ) .

Shane I am confused about the portal setup you mentioned, I noticed in TR12 that the trains spawn and delete as per their built in orders , can you please elaborate because the way I understand the sessions are built in with portals and once something goes wrong that particular session does not complete.

I can do.

Due to the way portals work in Trainz, reloading a saved session has the effect, in portal terms, of making the portal behave as if you had only just started the session anew.
