Saved Sessions, TS2010.

After many hours working on my route, I found that the latest version of the route was in Saved Sessions, Driver mode, and I can only continue working in Driver mode, or delete the Driver session. I must have inadvertently saved my route, with current session, as a new session, without saving the route as well. Can anyone tell me how to edit the route again in Surveyor?

Bit of confusion here. You can't edit anything in Driver, so the version of the route you are working on is nothing to do with the saved Driver session.

Somewhere in Surveyor is the route you loaded into Driver and that is what you need to load to do further editing. Be aware that editing the route further will quite possibly break the saved Driver session. I would load the route in Surveyor then 'Save As' without changing anything, that way you can continue to run your Driver session on the 'old' route and continue to develop the route on the 'new' version...

Saved Sessions, TS2010

Andy,

Many thanks. Yes, some confusion here! But I've searched for the latest version of the route in Surveyor without success. Then remembered I have a backup on another drive. You beauty, the route is there. Still puzzles me, but shows the value of backups. Thanks again.

similar problem

Not trying to thread jack but im having the same problem as Dontee stated above only the game crashed while i was trying to save the latest work i had done to it in surveyour mode and now when i go to routes and look for my route all i see is the name of my route with a big zero next to it ? Seems the session was deleted somehow and all i can do is drive it in the saved sessions section . Any solutions for this problem ? Spent about month and a half on this one . Any help would be appreciated

Check in Content Manger and see if the session is there, but marked 'Faulty'. Quickest way to find it is under the 'My Content' tab, then sort by Date Installed, it should be right at the top. If it shows faulty there is a fair chance that it has simply inherited a few config lines from the route, I have had this happen several times when a route crashes while saving in TS10. If the error report refers to workingscale, workingunits and water (and possibly a couple of others) not being permitted simply delete whatever lines are mentioned from the session config (they will be successive lines right near the top) and re-commit. If that IS the problem you should now be good to go....

Thanx

Thanx Man , I will try that .

If you have found the session in CM but it doesn't show in-game, then it is faulty. Right-click in CM and view errors. If the error report shows any of those bad entries I mentioned those are the lines you remove. There are generally 5 or 6 bad entries. The three 'W' lines I mentioned (workingscale, workingunits and water), also world-origin and can't remember off hand what the others are. If the error report shows something else, then post back...

Hi there.

About "Saved sessions" ... i have a problem. Getting out from "Drive" mode, i choose to save the "drive session", with my peaceful thought that lately i will resume my driving. Back on my drive seat (saved on "Saved sessions), i found the session totally ruined. Junctions missing (they're all red, no more green-red) , track objects switched from right to left (for ex. all the semaphores,... ). Obviously, the saved sessions are compromised. Someone can tell me what's wrong ?
Thanks !

I only had that happen once with TRS2010 and no longer use that version. Ensure you are using the latest version. There are patches available. I think the latest is 49922.

Actually, the highest patch(es) for TS2010 are:

Non-multiplayer: 49933
Multiplayer Beta: 49938

49922 is TS12's highest patch.
