save new route and session

In Trainz22PE, when I Save Route and select Save new route and session, I get a new route with the new name I input but the session associated with that route still uses the old session name. Going a second time to Save Route and selecting Overwrite existing route and Create a new session will now give me a new route with a new session with the same root name.
Is it supposed to work that way?

You don't need to do that. Just open the config of the related session and change the name.

Well, either the on screen dialog text is correct and the underlying code is still a WIP or the code is correct and the writer didn't know what they were saying. Both are a sad indication of a failure in quality control and a lack of initiative to fix it.

Or just work in your session and when you save it, it saves the route and session but only saves the new session in your list. Hope that makes sense.
