safe mods?

i was wondering about the mods in the download station......ARE THEY SAFE ??????? i got burned on mods for Skyrim PC.......ended up with spyware...adware ....viruses.......took tech support about an hour and a half to clean up the mess.....i refuse to disable security to download anything...just dont trust anything.......can i trust stuff here??????

The DLS is generally safe. As always have proper antivirus and antimalware applications installed. There is no reason to disable your antimalware product to download from the DLS. I will say that in all the years of downloading from the DLS, that's going on 13 years now, I have never had a virus I could say I got from the DLS.

I've been tinkering with Trainz for almost 10 years and have never seen or heard of a virus/malware etc. being downloaded from N3V Games or the DLS. Should you download asset files which don't work, assuming they are compatible with the version of Trainz you are running just delete them and try again more often than not it resolves the problem. Peter
