Running Trainz on a TV monitor

After viewing the thread 'duel monitors' I decided to check the cable plug things on my parents' tv set. My laptop is a Samsung with an AMD E-2 1800 Vision Dual-core processor. Anyone have suggestions on how I could get a cable of some kind to view Trainz on the family TV set? The brandname of our TV is Phillips, it has the gaming cable ports for an Xbox 360 or similar in the back of it.

The only easy way would be via HDMI (sends video and audio to the TV) or DVI or VGA which will only send video and in varying degrees of resolutions pending the exact model of TV and how good the graphics card is and type of cable actually used.

There is also an even older way using S-Video but that is so laggy and disgusting looking it isn't even worth it.
