From some days ago, the modifcatins some of my routes and oter kuids incorporated to Trainz databse since that day, some times desappear and I need to run Quick DataBase repair while it is being performed the Details window indicates that some Kuids "have been found at a new locations" always these kuids re the same, and also other kuids "has been added" (those lost previously

Do you know how to fix it? as you know database repair take some time for it and I waste my tme waiting for it.

The database repair is reindexing and finding the routes and content that it thinks is missing. Thus, the message about kuids found in a new location. These assets may have been open at the time of the crash, or recently installed when the crash first occurred. If you are seeing this happening more than once, most likely because you're not waiting long enough for Trainz to stop processing the background data and doing things such as cleaning up the database. It's not your fault because the program appears closed. The problem is this stuff continues to run in the background, sometimes for a few minutes afterwards. We suggest that you wait at least 5 minutes before turning off your computer or restarting. This gives Trainz time enough to clean-up and do it's thing before you do something else.

I suggest that you enable the option to display database processes in a console window. I don't remember the exact wording and with Trainz running at the moment, I don't want to start up another session at the same time. This is found under the options screen located under the Launcher. I believe it's under developer or advanced. I can't recall because I haven't been there in some time. :)

With this enabled, you will see a small command prompt or prompts running while Trainz is working. When you close Trainz, these will quit after a minute or perhaps longer. When these have exited, you can then do what you want such as restarting your computer or shutting down.

Hope this helps,

John

The option John's referring to is Options > Developer > Show database process windows.

It's concerning though if content keeps disappearing though, and it may be worth checking that Trainz is running as administrator.

Hi: I have anabled the option to display database process in a console window but the information dispalyed seams to be in a loop that seams to haves errors.

The information displayed is as folow
After seversl "PurgeExpiredCachedFiles" Deleting BacckFolders XXX (all of them were created jut after the moment of all the new elements and routes desapeared) the process go into a loop with some failures, exactly:
AssetIndex::WriteDataBase
TADThread _WriteDataBaseLocal> Unlink <"c:\program files (x86)\nv3 games\Trainz12\UserData\assets.tdx"> failed
TADThread _WrteDataBaseLocal> rename <"c:\Program files (x86)\nv3 games\Train12\UserData\Cache\assets.tdx", "c:\program files (x86)\n3v games\Trinz\UserData\assets.tdx"> failed
TADThread Write DataBaseLocal><Target path already exist
TADThread_WriteDataBaseLocal><Source path does not exist
and starts again withAssetInex::WriteDataBase.

I can o use new elements and/or routes because nex time Trainz12 automaticaly update my database and it tke about 15 minutes, andlaeral my new elemnts and/or routes/sessins.... are lost.

Please hep
