Routes and sessions display

They are now displayed as thumbnails with name at bottom: may look beautiful, but long names are truncated, especially for saved games. Not convenient at all!

I agree, it's changed for the worse in my opinion.
It doesn't seem to save where you left it, e.g. set it for recent. next time you open up, it's changed.
Then you have to scroll sideways to find your route.
Truncated names are useless to me. I might make several saves to a route I am making each ending with a date and a version, e.g. Warrenberg 1223-1, 1223-2 etc
Sideways scrolling is not as user friendly as vertical scrolling.

Unless of course I have missed a setting to change it to a list as in TANE.

Click on My Content while in the routes and you'll truncate the list. I think there is a list view. Check the options, but that might be for something else I can't remember.

I agree it should save the last position.

I recommend putting this through the helpdesk, or Suggestion Boxcar and it'll probably be added to the wishlist for future updates. If you're a Gold Membership owner, you'll have a new early access version coming up again soon (tm) and I think that will be the time to mention this again.

Thanks for your reply John.
I found a setting that is better for me.
When in Routes, to the right of the Sort By Box is a downward pointing chrevron button. It is a Content List Resizer!
Clicking this fills the page with the route content thumbnails, but the names are still truncated.
So instead of using the slider to find a route, it's just a click away now.
But, yet again, the setting reverts to default on restarting the sim.
Not perfect, but it's a workaround.

I have got the $70 purchased version without any subscriptions (purchased 19th Dec) and I am very pleased so far.
I do have one or two things that I don't like, but they are not a deal breaker.

My old dad used to say..

If all else fails, read the instructions :o

Hi

There is a search box at the top of the page. As you start to enter the name of the route it will start to narrow it down for you. When I search for the EVWR route I only need to enter "ev" and it has found it. It will find all routes that contain "ev" anywhere in the name.

Regards

Brian

Reading instructions, HA! Who does that. :)

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know about that and have to check it out.

When sessions are sorted A to Z, saved games are Z to A (and vice versa). Is there a way to display routes, sessions ans saved games as in T:ANE, i.e. in correct order and without truncated names?

You really need to fix how routes and sessions are displayed: I bought The Innter Kohn Necktion Railroad, there are two versions in routes menu, both showing as the same truncated "TRS19 - The Innter Kohn Nec..." name. Highly not practical at all and non-user-friendly!
