Route Won't Save Properly

For some time now, I've been working on a route. When I got my new PC, I copied the route over to the new computer. Today, I was working on it again. When I tried to save it, I was presented with a message that, in a nutshell, read "Session was saved but not committed to Trainz Asset Database". I closed the game and came back some time later, to find that all of my recent progress was gone!

I am using Windows 8.1.

How do I fix this?

Run Trainz as administrator.

Quite a few people don't unless told. Something N3V could do with adding to their manuals for future versions.
