Route has no track

I downloaded DBtogether V2 rom te DLS. It has 3 missing assets - 3 automobiles mentioned in another post here. There are no other missing assets. There 3 broken assets - a church, a clock and a 1948 Beetle. When I bring it up in either surveyor or quickdrive there is no track. Just the dotted lines. There are 69 track assets within the route and they all show error free. Any ideas?

Are the track config files trainz-build, equal to, or lesser than for your trainz-build ?

If it is a greater trainz-build, the assets must be backdated to work in your lower trainz-build.

To find your trainz-build, build a New Route, save ... then examine the New Route config file trainz-build line tag.

If previous post did not fix track, please post 3 track kuid's.
I know how to fix but must work on actual track.
Please post DL link in case I don't have that kuid.

Mornin.

I appreciate your help.

The route kuid is - <kuid:94150:100010> . -- Track Wood Old <kuid:8501:38005> -- Track No Gravel <kuid:25:894> -- 1 track wood US <kuid:25:197>

Thank you again

Mine are OK
Check if : open for edit, Revert to original or enable.

I have to look up Track Wood Old.

You said they were not showing on route.
Therefor they are open for edit OR not enabled OR changed in some way (revert to original)
Mine are OK.
You can DL a thousand times its the assets that have to be fixed.

I got this a while back from James Moody.

The following information comes via the lead developer for N3V Games. I had to use this last night and I know it works.

The dashed white lines isn't "a missing asset" - it's the asset that Trainz turns to when it can't find the asset it is supposed to draw there. These white lines are, in themselves, an asset. You can find this asset in CM. It's called "Missing spline", and it's by Rob. Open it for edit. Change the KUID from <kuid:523:1124> to <kuid2:523:1124:1>, and remove the whole privileges container (containing the line "permit-listing 0") Then install that asset as if it were a new asset - e.g. drag the folder from windows explorer back onto the CM interface. Once it's installed, revert the original one (you can't commit changes to it as it's a built-in asset). Result: The dashed white lines now show up in the menu, and can be selected just like any other track spline. You could lay some down if you wanted. More to the point, you can now use the 'replace items' tool to change them to any track spline you have installed...

I will add this. When you install the folder, use the install content option. This will save so much time. Also don't panic when the creator is shown as AURAN. I hope this helps some one.

To add to this...

I laid some track in a siding on my route, which was fine. On running as "test drive" today, I noticed the dotted white lines instead of the siding track. In surveyor, the original siding track is not faulty, I could change it back simply by deleting each section and re-adding.

Any ideas as to why the track was changed to the "missing spline"?

Open for edit or it was updated but the update is missing for some reason.

Thanks John, but that's not it. As I knew what track it was supposed to be, I was able to add it back in. I had newly added track connected to "Missing Spline" track in the same view. If it re-occurs, I'll post a screenshot.
