Route failed to save after editing

Hello again
I have just been editing my route and when I went to save, I got the message that it couldn't save and I must save it as a new route. I did this but then lost all my activities. This happened once before and this forum very kindly explained that I must change the kuid number to the original route's number and then copy all contents into a folder outside Trainz. I must then import the new folder using Import Content. I seem to recall that this worked OK last time. However this time, when my route is relisted in the Content Manager, I get the "open for editing" symbol and where it ususlly gives the size of the route on the extreme right, it now says that the route is unknown. I've obviously done somrthing very silly but what?

Any help gratefully received as always.

You may need to commit it before going any further, and possibly do a database repair by deleting assets.tdx from the Trainz install folder whilst Trainz is closed, then launching Trainz itself to allow it to rebuild the database.

Thanks, Shane. It was the commiting I had forgotten, which was silly of me because I have imported from a saved CDP several times - though this is only the second time I have used Import Content.
