Just downloaded some new FEF engines, and running them on my new Columbia River Basin Route I got yesterday.
Everything is wonderful except the Pht...pht...pht..... pht...pht....pht... sound that the safety valve continually makes on about half of my steam locomotives continues to drive me crazy!!!!!! Run the coal down, run the coal up, run the cutoff at 75%, run it at 40%, run it at 20%, flood the boiler with water, let it run dry, turn the blowers off, fill the boiler with STP, or grease from McDonalds, nothing works. Pht...pht...pht....... phttttt..etc..etc......... And the valve noise is loud, so loud, I have to turn the volume on my speakers almost all the way down. So I am thinking I have four choices:
1. Test all the locomotives and pick the few of them where the safety valve is least annoying, and only use those, not any of the others which include some of the Auran Payware Locos I purchased.
2. Don't use Steam engines at all, just diesels
3. Leave the sound off when I run steam engines
4. Roll back my 49222 version of TS12 to the previous version where this noise was non-existent, and I enjoyed running all my steam engines.
Now, here is my question. How would I go about rolling back the build number, would it require re-installing Trainz TS12 all over again and patching it up to the previous version prior to 49222? If I did that, what would I lose, all my routes and sessions, if so, I probably will use options 1-3. Any suggestions would be welcome.
