Reworking Industries

How can I fix my Coal Consuming Industries to take ALL my coal from my hoppers? I run 70-100 car coal trains, but the industries only consume a few cars and are full, leaving me with a bunch of hoppers still loaded. I have adjusted them to consume the MAX allowed, with a start rate of zero. Is there a way to tweak the Config file to force the industries to keep consuming? Thanks in advance.

Coal consumers

Hi davesnow,

If you are using trs2006 you can tweek the config file to increase the max amount and increase the consume amount in both built in power stations. But if you are using trs2004 this is not possible as the items mentioned are locked and cannot be edited. Both power stations have the max amount set at 814500 and the max consume set at 16290. There is also a note in the config stating that with these amounts it will take 25min. to consume a full load.

If you need to consume more coal, you can always add a second industry. Try putting a Coal Unloader track (86311:45052 or 141417:1076) right after the customer's track. As the train leaves the first industry, it keeps unloading.

I had this problem and solved it by just making the load amount in each hopper to a very low value, ie if its say 95000 now, make it 60 and all your hoppers will load/unload all day long and of course they still load to full capacity, hope this helps
