Hi all, just let me start off saying that USLW.net will ban you from asking a simple question. Some ass screwed with my post and I got banned because of it.

Anyway, I open up TRS2006 Trainzoptions in Notepad. I added this exact line to the text underneath, -ResourceMemory=2000, to improve Trainz performance. I saw no difference in gaming performance. Am I doing something wrong?

No, you are not doing anything wrong. You have a lot of RAM available, and after a certain point you don't get much more performance in return. If you want more performance search for other options for tweaking Trainz in these forums. Check out your graphics card versus other graphic cards that might be available to you.

(I tried to respond to your PM, but Tyler's program wouldn't let me or your email address was wrong.)

Hi,

If I open trainz options with notepad this is exactly how it is-

-DepthBits=24
-StencilBits=8
-fullscreen
-Jet=bin
-cabinfov=65
-driverfov=55
-DefaultAutoMip=none
-ResourceMemory=2000
-zfar=1500

I still cant get over the increase in FPS and smoothness I now enjoy,a little jerk here and there @ 1600x1200 heavily modded Hawes Junction.

Hope this helps

This means nothing without knowing what hardware you use it with.

Sorry youv'e lost me with that last comment, this is all pre configured, all I done is add the -ResourceMemory=2000,use the command if youv'e got 3 gig of RAM or more.

what make ,model is your shared/onboard video, dont expect to much, simulations really need a dedicated video card.

It wasn't a statement about my graphics card but an explanation/example why it matters what hardware is used in order for the change in -resourcememory=2048 to have any use in performance gain..

What the -zfar=1500 line all about....

Have to enquire, what's the -zfar=1500 line all about & what does it do.
Cheers, Mac....
